keepers) of Sri Hari owing to the curse born as Daityaas(Monsters i.e.
Raakshasaas-Hiranyaaksha and Hiranyakashyapu.By birth they hated Sri Hari.
Hiranyakashyapu by his strength and valour went on telling not to worship
Sri Hari, always troubled the sober and religious people of Sri Hari. Hiranyakshyapu
son of Kashyapa Rishi and Diti, performed
Tapasya for hundred years praying Brahma Devaru with all hardships
and pains standing on the finger of his feet and leg.
Brahma Devaru satisfied,blessed AJEYATVA ,that he should not be killed by Gods and Devils,no weapon should hurt him neither in the day nor at night,either in the house or outside. What ever Hiranyakashyapu asked Brahma Deva fulfilled all that From that day the cruelty of Hiranyakashyapu became too severe towards the Hari Bhaktas.
Prahlada-Bhakta Prahlada born to Hiranyakashyapu and Kayaadhu, an ardent Devotee of Sri Hari.The first of Avataara of Mantralaya Rayaru was Prahlada.Though Hiranyakashyapu educated a lot to Prahlada-He learnt Omkaara and the Saakshaatkara of Sri Hari. The Bhakti Sutras of Bhakta Prahlada are the Base of Real Bhakti.
Hiranyakashyapu tried to kill his own son Prahlada as he was worshipping Sri Hari by several ways.Poison,Serpents, Elephants,Fall from the hill all proved in vain and Sri Hari protected Prahlada. Prahlada exhibited Hari Sarvottamatva to the whole Universe.But Hiranyakashyapu did not understand the Greatness of Bhakti of Prahlada and never believed.One day Hiranyakashyapu in a furious mood asked Prahlada where is your Sri Hari?Prahlada replied that Sri Hari is in every where.There is no place without him. Then Hiranyakashyapu asked is he in this Pillar? Prahlada said yes.Hiranyakshyapu broke the Pillar with his GADA (Mace) Immediately Sri Hari appeared in Narasimha Roopa in the Pradosha Kaala, between and betwixt the day and night,took Hiranyakshyapu on His laps sitting on the HOSTILA(frame of the door) teared off the Daitya’s stomach with His sharp nails.
Sri Hari killed the Daitya(monster) as per the conditions of Brahma’s Vara.
Our Mantralaya Rayaru-Prahlada prayed Sri Hari to bestow Mukti to his father Hiranyakshyapu, though he gave lot of panic even to kill.When all were stunned with the Ugra Roopa Prahlada prayed Sri Narasimha Devaru and requested to come down cool and calm. Sri Narasimha Devaru became extremely happy towards the act of Prahlada.
