Aashaadha Shuddha Pournima is very famous as Vyasapournima - Guru Pournima. On this day we also perform Sri Vyasa Pooja as it is Manvaadi - very auspicious and holy. Also called as Kattalagaduvina Hunnime - Kadligara Hunnime.

Meaning

It is my great privilege to describe the devotion and the grandeur of Aashaadha Shuddha Pournima Vyasapournima Vyasapooja - Gurupournima Gurupooja on Saturday. Respect and regard to our Guruvarenyaru on this auspicious day. Mruttika Sangrahanotsava and Mruttika Bharanotsava are the main features of this day in Mantralaya. On this day Mruttika Sangrahanotsava from the Sacred Tulasi Garden situated at the back of the Matha on the bank of Tungabhadra. While going to the river it will be on the left side. Mruttika is collected from Tulasi Garden in Mantralaya.

In the roots of Tulasi we find all the Teerthhas - Punya Teerthhas - Sacred rivers and Pushkarini water, in Tulasi all the Gods are residing. All the Vedas are at the tip of Tulasi. So I here by offer my Pranams. Tulasi is the dear friend of Sri Laxmidevi, very auspicious, vanishes the paapas and imparting Punya. Tulasi  I respectfully offer my regards as you are honored and praised by Sri NaaradaMaharshi. At the same time you are dear to the heart of Sri Hari. Such a holy is the Mruttika  collected from the Tulasi Garden in Mantralaya. Thus the collected Mruttika  is placed in the Paallakki  with due respects Bhaktipurassara and brought to the Matha with Mangalavaadya and Mantraghosha. H.H. Sri Subudhendrateertharu performed the pooja and then the Mruttika Bharanotsava will take place on the top of the Bhavya Divya Neela Brindavana, on the Uttamanga of  the Bhavya Divya Neela Brindavana - Bharanotsava means the ceremony of filling the Mruttika on the top of the Brindavana.

Today by the Anugraha of Mantralaya Rayaru and Mruttika Mahima the world devotees of Mantralaya are successfully leading a happy and contented life. The grandeur of the preparations of Chaaturmaasa in Mantralaya is a matter of pride and the Anugraha of  our Sri Hari , owing to the Deergha Akhanda Japa of  our Sri Guru Raghavendrateertharu.

Hari Smarane - Hari Karune is abundant in Mantralaya and to our Rayaru. We are in the realm of Punya Saadhana now in Mantralaya. Aashaadha Bahula Panchami we have celebrated the 647th  Aradhana of Sri Jaiteertharu. Our sixth paramahamsaru of pour Moola Mahasamsthhaana. Though born in rich family Dhondopanth Deshpande

Arjunaavatari - Inrush - Shesha Aavesha Sri Jaiteertharu was none but our Sixth Paramahamsaru of our Mahamoola Samsthaana. As Arjuna  boasted that for all the victory of the 18 days great war of Mahabharata he is responsible. Immediately his elder brother Sri Bheemasenadevaru uttered You Beast ! You have forgotten Sri Krishna our Adhidaiva Swami Sri Hari wholly responsible for the victory. Forgetting Sri Hari for a while is a great  Sin and we have to bear that cost even in Janmanatara. Then asked Arjuna to his brother Bheema, what next? Do not worry Iwill be there with you !

As Sri Vayudevaru uttered Beast got the Pashjanma, became a bullock and got the Seva of Sri Hanuma - Bheema - Acharya Sri Madhwaru. Though a bullock carefully listened all the teachings of Sri Anandateertha Bhagavatpadacharyaru !

At this juncture I wish to share that the dire poverty experienced by three Chetanas, they are the world famous Mahamahimas.

1) In Dwaapara Yuga Sudama and Sri Krishna were friends, class mates when they studied together in the Gurukula Ashrama of Sri Saandeepini Rushi. One day when they went to the forest to collect firewood, at that time Gurpatni Maata gave a handful of Avalakki  and asked them to eif they feel hungry. That day unexpectedly rained heavily in the afternoon. Both Sudaama and Sri Krishna drenched became completely wet. They were actually shivering, though they have sat on a different tree.Sudama cannot control his hunger and without giving Krishna ate the whole Avalakki.  At that time Sri Krishna asked Sudama, did Amma give anything to eat? Sudama replied no, Though Sri Krishna saw Sudaama eating Avalakki did not say anything. After returned to Gurukula, in the evening Sudama detailed the whole incident to his Guru, Saandeepini Guru said, you have committed a great blunder, could not have done like this and he may have to suffer heavily and  pay for it. When they returned from Gurukula, both married. Sri Krishna be ame the king of Dwaaraka. Sudaama married and got many children. Suffered from dire poverty. At last thewife of Sudama sent her husband to meet Sri Krishna as he was his friend, again by karma dharma samyoga She gave a handful of Avalakki to give Sri Krishna, that too she borrowed from the satvikas on that day. What all he had eaten gave to his friend. Secondly did not reveal his poverty to Sri Krishna and did not ask help.  SWAMI ISTOO  KIND KARUNAALU GAVE EVERYTHING TO SUDAMA ALMOST EQUAL TO HIS WEALTH AND COMFORT LIFTED FROM THE SUFFERING OF POVERTY

2) Secondly Wealthy youth Dhondopanth of Mangalavedhe accepted Sanyasa from Sri Akshobhyateertharu and became the 6th Pontiff as Sri Jaiteertharu at the age of 16 thoughmarried -became a great Vairaagya Shiromani. After attaining Paramahamsa Peethha selected  Yergol  the abode of immense profound silence place from where our Eastern Ghats start and stretching to Sri Shyalam. resided at the Cave which is in the form of a Shankha, once upon a time it was the Ashrama of Shankhu Rushi to compose the TEEKAS TO ACHARYA GRANTHHAS. Owing to the loneliness no one was there. Sent all the Shishyas to Yergola. Stayed with only one shishya as he was reluctant to leave Sri Jaiteertharu. For several days as nothing was available observed Upavaasa. Offered only Patram Phalam Pushpam Toyam to Sri MoolaRamadevaru. Asked the shishya to exract the jawar from the cowdung, wash it, clean it and cook it. Offered the same as Naivedya and accepted as food. As cow is sacred. Never hesitated. Starving became severe. To survive became a Serpent, the boon of Shesha Aavesha also helped a lot. Lived here only to the writings of Teekas. When Sri Vidyaranyaru came to this Yergola cave and said KORBHRAVAAN? Sri Jaiteertharu replied SAPPOHAM, then Vidyaranyaru asked where is Refe for SARPA. Sri Jaiteertharu said the Refe which I have to use is used by you ! Then immediately Vidyaranyaru admitted his fault of using Refe, it must be KORBHAVAAN. Such a great intellect was our Sri Jaiteertharu.

Wrote 18 Teekas and 4 Independent Granthhas. The style was superb. World has amazed and nodded the head for the extraordinary knowledge and the scholarship of  our Yativarenya Sri Jaiteertharu.Sri Jaiteertharu shloka is highly meticulous, it is a prayer composed by Sri Prahlada - Sri Bahleeka - Sri Vyasarajaru:
