Pushya Bahula Amrutana Amavasye  Thursday is the Aradhana of Sri Purandaradasaru celebrated all ovewr the world where ever the Mantralaya devotees are residing. In Hampi, Bichali, Mantralaya and Pandharapura the grandeur of celebration speaks our Bhakti Samarpane to DASAARYARU.

In Hampi, Bichali, Mantralaya and Pandharapura the devotion and the grandeur of Purandarotsava celebration, Bhakti Samarpane to our Sri Purandaradasaru is superb and super.Sri Purandaradasaru attained the lotus feet of Sri Hari on this day in Hampi. It is heartening to know that the fourth son, youngest son of Purandaradasaru Madhwapati - Avataari of Sri Bhrugumuni was a great s Daivee Chetana, who has worshipped Sri Yantroddhaaraka Swami with great devotion and actually offered Naivedya, when Swami did not eat the Naivedya, requested a lot Prayed and Swami opened his mouth and went on feeding with his own hands is a record of golden letters in our culture. Madhwapati again took Avataara as Vijayadasaru,very dear to our Mantralaya Rayaru - Parama Bhaktaru Aaptaru Priyaru.

Hampi the sacred bank of Tungabhadra Sri Vyasarayaru Sri Purandaradasaru these three are like Triveni Sangama Punya Siddhi to the devotees of Mantralaya. Srinivasanayakaru became Sri Purandaradasaru, paramashishyaru of Sri Vyasarajaru and attained the Ankita as Purandaravithala by Sri Vyarayaru. All the details are described by Sri Vijayadasaru. We are grateful to our Cheekalaparavi Sri Vijayadasaru. This Hampi shined with glory during the days of Sri Vyasarajateertharu and Sri Purandaradasaru. Though the political pride and prejudice paved the way for political imbalance,the economic stability was highly satisfactory. Socio - economic and religious harmony gave added impetus for developmental activities of huge architecture, the culture and the grandeur of life style is quite visible clearly even to today. In Kannada we say :

Samashti Samskruti Darshanavu Ee Hampeyali

Really the Golden Age of Karantaka during the reign of Sri Krishnadevaraya. It is in this Hampi only that Sri Sri Prahlada - Sri Bahleeka - Sri Vyasarayaru-Sri Vyasarajateertharu openly said to our 14th. Paramahamsaru H. H. Sri Surendrateertharu that Now I am worshipping Sri Krishna - Sri Klrishna Poojaka will takke Raghavendra Avataara  for the sake of Worshipping Sri MoolaRamadevaru. So  Tungabhadra Tata Hampi - Anegundi Navavrundavana is very sacred and holy to the devotees of Mantralaya. It is Dakshina Kasi. Ramayana Darshana, Kishkindhe, Rushyamooka Parvata, Maalyavanta Parvata Chakrateertha Sri Yantroddhaaraswami, Sri Vyasarayaru Sri Sudheendrateertharu Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateerth Gurusarvabhoumaru appear to our inward eyes like a flash back . IT IS THE MANTRALAYA BHAKTAS SAARODDHAARA.

Sri Vijayadasaru described in the above Pada that for the sake of our Uddhaara Deva Muni Sri Naarada Maharshi took the Avatara as Sri Purandaradasaru. Sajjanas were suffering a lot leading an improper life and were about to go to the way of hell. Dasaryaru through Bhakti Dasa Tatva transformed the whole set up through the writings of Pada. It is the Sankalpa of Sri Hari that Sri Purandaradasaru should become the Shishya Parama Shishya  of Sri Vyasarayaru. Lived in Hampi for a long period. The Karnataka Emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya was very fond of Sri Purandaradasaru, regarded and respected abundantly. Through Raja Guru Sri Vyasarajateertharu knew the greatness of Dasaru. He actually wanted to present some thing like Bhoodaana  - Godaana,Vairaagyashreshthha Navakoti Narayana Purandarya did not accept anything. He said Emperor the whole wealth was offered with Tulasi Dala as Daana, he has no mind to accept nor desire for that. At last Purandarayaru told Sri Krishnadevaraya that if at all you wanted to present  e something, please build a JAPASHAALA adjacent to theTungabhadra and facing to the Chakrateerthha Yantroddhaarakkaru. To the surprise of all Krishnadevaraya constructed a very spacious Shila Mantapa where thousands can sit and perform Japa, such a great Japashaala was built and named as PURANDARA MANTAPA. Even to this day large number of devotees, pilgrims and foreigners visit this great monument of our Dasaru and amazed to the architectural intelligentsia and the creative ability of those days.

After the departure of Guru Sri Vyasarayaru Purandararya did not leave Hampi, stayed here till his last breath, liked the Punya Parisara of Hampi, felt like an orphan always going to Anegundi island and took the Brindavana Darshana of his dearest Guru. Sri Purandaradasaru as already said lived in Hampi for a long time. Lead Meaningful Saarthhaka living for more than Eighty years. One day casually interacting with his son in Hampi at the temple of Sri Vijayavithala said that he had a plan of composing 5,00000 of Padas. Now they are 4,75,000  Aparokshagnyani said as his Avatara Samaapti is too nearing and that remaining 25,000 Padas you have complete. You are able noble and you have the capacity to complete the noble task of completing 25,000 Padas. Madhwapati with all due respects said :

it will be completed. It is important to know that Sri Purandaradasaru gave the indication of the Avatara of Sri Vijayadasaru and the importance of Vijayavithala. It is on trhis day of Pushya Bahula Amavasye Amrutana Amavasye Sri Purandaradasaru attained the lotus feet of Sri Hari, joined Vaikunthha in the Seva of Sri Hari Brahma and Maheshwara. Such a great Mahaan Chetana Sri Naaradaru took Avataara as Sri Purandaradasaru for the sake of us. So we are lucky enough to have Dasaru among us.

One more thing I wish to say to our Mantralaya devotees that our Dasaru always looked life with reality, Kriyaasheelaru, Kartavya Paraayanaru. They are neither lazy nor narrow minded and not schizophrenia. Always dealt the situation with reality and approached the life practically, very dear to the society. Knew the desires of the ladies in those days. Dasaru knew that girls were unwilling to marry the old, aged just because he is wealthy. In one of the Padasa Dasaru described that: VALLE NAA MUPPINA GANDANNA

They aspired fine rice to eat and a youth as their life partner. In Kannada it is described: SANNAKKI ANNA SANNA GANDA

With all these things we come to the conclusion that Dasaru understood the socio problems in those days and tried to solve. Though rich heaps of bags of rice was in store at the house owing to the stingy nature daughter-in-laws were given only Raagi, Jawar, Navani Saavi etc. We are grateful to Sri PURANDARADASARU.

Sri  Prahalad - Sri Bahleeka - Sri Vyasarajaru knew fully well that his most dearest Shishya Sri PURANDARADASARU is none but Deva Muni Bhaagavatottama- Bhjakti Prasaaraka Sri Naaradara Avataari Swaroopoddhaarakaru. So the above appreciation is too appropriate and quite meaningful.

One day a Pandit got angry to see that the handwritten copies of Padas of our Dasaru Purandaradasaru was kept with Sri Madhwashastra Granthha on the Vyasapeetha, a stand to keep the books. Immediately shouted and pulled the copies of Dasara Padas and threw on the floor. Two times he did like this two times the Copies of Padas went and sat with the MADHWASHASTRA GRANTHHA ON THE Vyasapeetha. The joy of our Karuni Sri Vyasarayaru knew no bonds. Immediately openly praised that the : THE PADASA OF OUR DASARU ARE PURANDARA UPANISHATTU

It means all the writings of Padas are in accordance and in compliance to our Acharya Philosophy. Yesterday, today and tomorrow the mischief mongers, mischievous elements Nindakas were and are and also will be in future. So let us not bother about them. Do our duty sincerely wholeheartedly with full involvement.

What ever may be the subject, where ever we may go we will be back to the pavilion at the bank of Tungabhadra Mantralaya MANGALADA TUNGEYANGALA Always Samarpitaru in the Seva of Sri GuruRaghavendrateertharu. We are always abide to the Bhakti Sutra of Parama Bhaagavatottama Mantralaya Prabhuvarenyaru. Always Blessing wit a smile and imparting Apaara Anugraha.
