Long back there was a Rishi-sadhu
by name Kaarpara Rishi. On the wide and sacred bank of Krishna river,he
decided to propitiate Sri Hari.As the Rishi completely satisfied with the
calm and quiet panorama of that surrounding place. Kaarpara Rishi will
take a holy dip
in the Krishna and sat under
the shelter of an Ashwath Vraksha praying to Sri Hari-Vishnu-Narayana-the
Omniscient and Omnipotent who
is protecting the world.This holy
routine went on for a long time.
Sri Hari listened the prayer of Kaarpara
Rishi appeared before him with Sri Narasimha Roopa. And said that He is
satisfied with his prayer and Tapasya.Told Rishi to ask any Boon(VARA).Kaarpara
answered that he does want anything except the blessings, pooja and
Prayer of Sri Hari and requested
the Lord to reside there permanently.Sri Hari agreed said TATHAASTU.Soon
the God disappeared leaving two Saaligramas under that Ashwath Vraksha.Kaarpara
Rishi worshipped Narasimha Saaligrama from that dayonwards regularly. That
place
is called and named as Kaarpara-then
it became Koppara-Koppara NarasimhaDevaru due to our Kaarpara Rishi.Today
KOPPARA is a Punyakshetra.
Koppara NarasimhaDevaru is the Kulaswami of several families today. In the Ashwath Vraksha Swami Narasimha Devaru became Pratyaksha-that Tree is called as God's Tree.Daily Pooja-Naivedya-Alankara.Strict Purity,Sanctity are all maintained in Koppara in the Sannidhana of Narasimha Devaru(Sri Hari).
Koppara is situated in Devadurga Taluka,Raichur
District, Karnataka State(India),on the bank of Krishna river with profound
silence,calm and
loneliness welcoming the Devotees
and Satvikas to Bless.
It is heartening to know that Kaarpara Rishi invited God and made Koppara as Punyakshetra-Koppara Narasimha Devaru. All the Devotees are getting their desired fruits, offering prayers and propitiating NarasimhaDevaru of Koppara is all due to the Bhakti of Kaarpara Rishi. It is all the will and wish of God-Sri Hari-Vayu-Guru .Koppara is on the way to Mantralaya. Rayara sooru(Raichur) areas all lead to Sanctity enriching the greatness of Mantralaya Rayaru.
The next part of Archakas will be
in Mantralaya(54).
