Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu is the only Saint who can wipe off the pains of oldage and remove the oldage Jaraa Hartaa, So Rayaru is regarded by the devotees through out the world, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, nation and gender. To impart victory, to create success and for the welfare of the world Sri Raghavendrateertharu is in Mantralaya Vruta Tatparaha - Deergha Akhanda Japa of Sri Hari.

The profound immense silence, the abundant natural beauty of  Hampi - Anegundi and the importance of theTungabhadra are described in Mantralaya(487).



Meaning

It is really overwhelming that Sacred Tungabhadra is forcefully flowing through the ages and the Yugas. Sri Ramachandradeva during Vanavaasa for Chaaturmaasa stayed in Hampi at the Maalyavanta Parvata. Daily after taking the holy dip in Tungabhadra Swami availed the Darshana of Sri Virupakshadevaru - Sri Rudradevaru and worshipped. All these great incidents took place in Hampi - Vijayanagara - The Empire of Karnataka. Anegundi - Nava vrundavana - Kishkindhe - Maalyavanta Parvata - Rushyamooka Parvata are all situated here only on the sacred bank of Tungabhadra river which is equal to the Sarayu of Ayodhya. Our Sri Yantroddharaka Swami Sri Praanadevaru is here only. All these holy places are Parama Punyakshetras.

Pampasarovara is famous from time immemorial. Puranas have described the importance of Pampasarovara. Just as we say SRI HARISARVOTTAMA VAYUJEEVOTTAMA our famous  Hampi is well known and a witness for the saying of HARA VAISHNAVOTTAMA owing to the co-ordination and the harmonial relationship with our Rudradevaru, Sri Vijayavithala, Sri Yantroddhaaraka Swami  the natural monuments and the reminiscences  of Ramayana. The whole sanctum of Hampi is guarded and encircled with the rich nature's gift. Hilly rocks, the flow of Tungabhadra river, the thick greenery of Paddy, plantains and coconuts. We are happy to find the continuous streaks of Bhakti Vairaagya and Preeti here. The profound immense silence of Anegundi - Island of Tungabhadra (now Navavrundavana). During the days of Sri Padmanabhateerharu no Brindavanas there. Aparokshagnyani Acharya Parampara Yativarya Sri Padmanabhateertharu knowing the importance made a sankalpa that his Brindavana should be on this island near Anegundi.

Sri Padmanabhateertharu's poorvashrama name was Shobhanabhattaru. A great scholar stalwart of Adwaita Siddhanta, a great Pandit. Well versed in all the branches of knowledge. He belonged to a village situated on the bank of the river Godavari .Owing to his great scholarship he was the Aasthhaana Pandita in the Royal court of the Warangal king. Once it so happened that Sri Madhwacharyaru had a debate of Dwaita and Adwaita with Shobhanabhatta. Sri Madhwacharyaru felt extremely happy to know the  abundant knowledge of Shastras and Puranas. Finally Shobhanabhattaru accepted the defeat of his Adwaita Siddhanta. Handed  over the Jayapatra to Sri Madhwacharyaru with great respect and Regard. Shobhanabhattaru became the Shishya Parama Shishya of Sri Madacharyaru. Shobhanabhattaru Adwaitee accepted Dwaitism not only that Acharyaru knowing ability made him as his successor. Handed over the entire charge of the Sanyasa Peetha along with all the Pooja Vigrahas and Sri Madhwacharyaru went to Badari  on the day of Maagha Shuddha Dashami and engaged himself in the Seva of Sri Vedavyasadevaru.

Hanuma - Bheema Avataari Sri Madhwacharyaru after crossing the distance by walk flew to Badari - we say this Badari as Hire Badari. Sri Padmanabhateertharu the successor of Sri Madhwacharyaru worshipped Sri Moola Ramadevaru and all the sacred idols of our Sri Madhwacharyaru for Seven years. Sri Padmanabhateertharu's Granthha Rachana is of great importance. Sri Jaiteertha Teekakrutpadacharyaru has quoted many times the scholarship and the abundant knowledge of Sri Padmanabhateertharu. Independent works of Sri Padmanabhateertharu are : 

Hats off  to this great Yatiraat, the first Paramahamsa settled in Brindavana on  this island (Navavrundavana). The of Karteeka Bahula Chaturdashi Sri Narahariteertharu joined Sri Haripaada and permanently stayed amidst the panorama of Anegundi listening the lullaby of Tungabhadra.. It is important to know that the Vijayanagara Hakka Bukka liked Sri Padmanabhateertharu and became close associates owing to his knowledge and personality. They made all the preparations for the Brindavana on that island. At that time there were no Brindavanas. Sri Padmanabhateertharu  as per the will and the wish of his Guru Sri Acharya Madhwaru made Sri Narahariteertharu as his successor and handed over the charge of the Peethha Parapara and the worshipping idols. At that time Sri Padmanabhateertharu handed over the Gopinatha Vigraha idol to one of his dear shishya by name Laxmidharateertha. This paved the way to the inception of Shreepaadarajamutt. Sri Narahariteertharu is the 3rd. Pontiff from Sri Madhwacharyaru and presented the Ch rama Shloka:

Amidst the development of all such things the patience and the magnanimity of our Dwaita Yatis are highly appreciable. Never bothered and disgusted, on the contrary felt happy that the Prasaara of Sri Harisarvottama gained impetus: Sridharana Sevege Saadhana Sampattu

Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertha Gururaat is the 17th. Paramahamsaru in our Hamsanaamaka Paramatma's Saakshaat Parampara of Jagat Guru Sri Madhwacharyaru  Manukuloddharakaru. All the great souls and the Punya Chetanas have always desired the Sacred Tungabhadra bank. Sri Narahariteertharu's Brindavana is in Hampi adjacent to Tungabhadra. Sri Raghunandanateertharu the 13th. Pontiff of our Vidya Mutt is also here.  Sri Sudheendrateertharu the 16 th. Pontiff , the Guru of our  Sri Raghavendrateertharu though lived for  many years in Kumbhakonam on the bank of Kaveri, desired that his Brindavan should be on the bank of Tungabhadra, that too Anegundi, by the side of Sri Padmanabhateertharu. So for the sake of this only planned the last sanchara to Hampi along with Sri Raghavendrateertharu.  The destiny, desire and Sri Hari Sankalpa made these Paramhamsas to be on the bank of Tungabhadra  at Hampi Anegundi.

When we say Hampi Anegundi our mind goes back and the heart throbs for the rich divine heritage of Sri Harisarvottama and Vayujeevottama. Mantralaya Yatiraat Gururaat Sri Raghavendrateertharu is practically Blessing the devotees  today as per the promise given to Sri Hari - Sri Narahari in Sri Prahlada Avatara:

Nai Taan Vihaaya Krupanaan Vimumuksha Eko Na Anyam.
