Meaning

From  Aashweeja Suddha Pratipada to Aashweeja Suddha Vijayadashami, we the devotees of Mantralaya  celebrate Navaratri Festival. The Satvika, Sajjana, Aastikas devotion and dedication to Deepaaradhane is beyond our description. Continuously for Nine Days and Nine Nights DeepaSamyojana Deepotsava Nandadeepa in the name of our Kulaswami. On the day of Pratipada after Pooja, in the name of our Kulaswami Tirumala Sri Srinivasadevaru Ghata Sthhaapana- Ghatta in an open vessel it should be either brass, copper or silver, we keep  four betel leaves round the vessel inside, a coin of Rs.5/, Erika nut(poogiphala), Arishina Kumkuma and place purnaphala(coconut). Worship and invite (Aahwaana) Kulaswami’s Complete Sannidhya in the  Ghatta. Ghantamaala, Naivedya, Ghee Maha Neerajana ,Mangalarati. Ghata Sthhaapana is nothing but the Sacred Sannidhana of Tirumala Sri Venkateshwaraswami and believe that  Sri Srinivasadevaru had come to our house  from Tirumala to Bless us and accepting  our Pooja  Pooja with affection.

When we are at the abode of Tirumala Sanctum of Sri Srinivasa Swami Sannidhaana all our Indriyas will be under the control of the Essence of Bhakti and Vairaagya. Venkatadri is such a Pure Shuchi Kshetra that we will never find Ashuchi Mailige etc. Everything is Pure, Holy and Sacred owing to the Aavaasa of Sri Hari. IT IS BHOOVAIKUNTHHA.

Daily with great Bhakti we offer Ghantamaala, Naivedya, Ghee Maha Neerajana ,Mangalarati. Sachchhastra Paraayana - Gurustotra Pathhana  - Bhavishyottara Puranaantargata Sri Venkateshwara  Mahatmye Purana Vaachana are the main features on all the nine days of Navaratri. With pure heart and mind the Devotees will be involved completely in worshipping the Lord of Seven Hills. We say it as Naishthhika Shuchi Naishthhika Shuddhi.Kaaya - Vaacha - Manasa our Mantralaya Devotees Navaratri routine is really heart touching. This schedule is very dear to Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu and Tirumala Sri Srinivasadevaru. Daily the Devotees  Anusandhaana of Swami Darshana and Anugraha on this NAVARATRI is the Sankalpa of Sri Hari Vayu Gurugalu. The Devotees immense joy and satisfaction of this Festival leads to the prosperity of our family in manifolds.

During this Navaratri to light the Deepa Nandadeepa we take Deepastambhas, call it Same also. First we have to worship the Deepastambhas. We have to decorate the pillar (stambha) of Same(Deepastambha)with the  white lime coat and red colour Kemmannu Jaaja, Gejje vastra, Arishina Kumkuma and flowers, before lighting Nandaadeepas.There are 700 Kruttikaadi Nakshatra Devatas at the top of Deepastambha.Deepastambha Sheshadevaru’s Avaasa, At the bottom Surya Chandra Sannidhana. So we perform pooja with devotion to the Deepastambhas.

We have to do the pratishthhaapana of  the  Ghee Nandaadeepas at the right side of  the God and at the left side Oil Nandaadeepas. There are some Mantralaya Devotees offering a pair (two)of Ghee Nandaddepa and oil Nandaadeepa. This Deepa  - Deepasmayojana -Deepaaraadhane will convey our prayers, requests to Swami. Agnideva is the via media between God and the Devotees. World Devotees,  when we say  Nandaadeepa, Our Mantralaya  Devotees are globally residing in all parts of the world and they are the ardent devotees completely surrendered to Sri Raghavendrateertharu and they worship Rayaru keeping a pair of  Oil Nandaadeepas in all the 365 days of the year day in and day out and perform the Pathhana of Sri Raghavendra Gurustotra. By the Samarpana of a Pair of  Nandaadeepa our Mantralaya Devotees are greatly Blessed by Mantralaya Rayaru.

Sri Saraswatipooja, Aayudhapooja, Vaahanapooja are the special poojas in Navaratri. We worship all our books, Sachchhastras, writing materials, Computer, Laptop etc. We believe that after the pooja during this Navaratri Goddess Saraswati Blesses Knowledge and Wisdom  and writes on the tongue of our children the Beejakshara of  Gnyana.

Pandavas after the completion of three days  Agnyaatvaasa gave up the Agnyaata Roopa. Put on their real Raja Vesha. On this day of Mahanavami they took their weapons from the Shamee Vruksha( Banni Mara). Worshipped them and prayed for success. Finally they became victorious in Mahabharata Yuddha.  As a mark of this significant occasion we observe Aayudhapooja. Rathha Pooja was in vogue in those days. Today it has become VAAHANAPOOJA -  CAR POOJA. Our Mantralaya Devotees systematically follow and perform all the rituals as pewr the Sadaachaara of our Acharya Sri Madhwaru. During this Navaratri along with the Pooja Kainkarya Mantralaya Devotees perform the Mangalashtaka Pathhana  of Rayaru without fail along with Mantrapushpa. The Sanctity of  the Pooja room  Nandadeepa Deepa Samyojana Deeparadhane  is so well maintained with  the fragrance of Tulasi, flowers  and the way of completely surrendering Samarpana Bhaava reminds the the Shloka of Bhaagavata :

I will gladly accept the Offering of Tulasi with utmost Bhakti  by Satvika Sajjana and I will definitely Protect him. This is my Promise. We find the Sannidhaana of Sri Hari in the house of the devotees.
