Mantralaya-477

(The importance of Mahalaya- Pitru Paksha - Shraaddha, the second part of the 5th Shloka of Sri Krishnachaaritramanjari)

Date : Oct 3 2012

Background

Avatu Tvam (Avatvam) Sadaa Sri Guro Raghavendra
Prabho Mae Shirasyaasu Hastam Nidehi

Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhouma you have to protect me always and Prabho your blessing Hand should always be on my head.

Many Mantralaya devotees have asked me to describe the importance of Shraaddha and Paksha. From October 01.2012 to October 15.2012 P itru Paksha, Maahaalaya Paksha. It is also called as Pakshamaasa. We have to invite our Pitru Devatas, honour them, regard them and we have to feed them. It is very important. On this day that what ever we offer them will be sufficient for the whole year. Pitrus whole heartedly bless their Santana for this kind act of Paksha - Shraaddha.  Shraddha Iti Karyaha Shraaddhaha.

Paramahamsas Chaaturmaasa Vruta Deeksha Samapti Samaropa on Sept.30th. As the Pratipada fell on the day of Pournima - Anantana Hunnime. GAYA KRUTA SHRAADDHA PHALAMASTU

Owing to the Pitru Paksha for a period of fortnight I feel it is necessary to share some information with our Mantralaya Devotees. At the Samaaropa of Shraaddha and Paksha we say loudly with Devotion :

GAYA KRUTA SHRAADDHA PHALAMASTU

What ever the proceedings of Shraaddha and the Paksha we have followed and done so far here is equal to the ceremony done in Gaya at the Sacred Sri Vishnu Paada. The Kartaa will get that Punya Phala. We have to perform Shraaddha and Paksha every year. PRATI SAAMVATSARIKA.

Every year on these 15 days our Pitrus will be roaming round the houses of their Santaana to receive Jala Tarpana, Tila Tarpana and Pinda Pradaana. We perform Shraaddha and Paksha one day once in a year. What ever we offer that food is sufficient for the whole one year to our Pitrus.  Vishwedevatas Puroorava and Aardra will be present at the time of Shraaddha and they take the responsibility of receiving the Jala Tarpana, Tila Tarpana and the Pinda Pradaana to our Pitrus.  At the time of Paksha Vishwedevatas Doori and Lochana will be present they take the responsibility of receiving the same as Jala Tarpana, Tila Tarpana and Pinda Pradaana to our Pitrus. Pitrus will be highly satisfied for this. They Bless whole heartedly.

In whatever Yoni they have taken Janma, the Jeevas will get ample food satisfactorily for the whole year. So Prati Saamavatsarika Shraaddha and Paksha are very important. We have to perform without fail.

Some Scholars interpret that as they have done Shraaddha and Paksha in Badari and Gaya, they need not do every year. IT IS COMPLETELY WRONG.Performing of Pitru Karya Matru Karya  Shraaddha and Paksha every year PRATI SAAMVATSARIKA is essential and important.

The importance of Mahalaya- Pitru Paksha - Shraaddha, the second part of the 5th Shloka of Sri Krishnachaaritramanjari the extraordinary Devotional Values of our Mantralaya Rayaru and the Seva of the Devotees by complete Surrendering to Mantralaya  Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru are described in Mantralaya(477).

Meaning

The remaining part of the fifth shloka of Sri Krishnachaaritramanjari is beautifully written by Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu and at the same time the Vykhyaana of Vidwatchakra Choodamani Shreepadaputraru Sri Laxminarayanacharyaru is also superb. The Scene of Gokula on the Sacred bank of Yamuna will fill our heart and altogether take us a new world of SRI KRISHNA LOKA - SRI KRISHNA PAARAMYA LOKA.

Swami Sri Krishna Paramatma confirmed that the Govatsas are in danger. So Swami himself drank the entire flame of wildfire and saved the Govatsasa and the Gopalakas Simply Govatsas hearing the voice of Sri Krishna by their name ran searching and reached the spot. Gopalakas also followed the cows and the calves. Swami Sri Krishna along with Balarama sitting on a plain rock on the sacred bank of Yamuna river and eating the curd rice. The joy of Govatsas knew no bonds. After that Swami took his flute and began to play. The sweet melody of Venu Naada was so attracting that the Govatsas and the Gopalakas encircled and stood like a statue gazing Sri Krishna. Completely involved in listening the VenuGaana of Swami. They left eating the green grass, opened their mouth and ears listening the VenuGaana. Even the residents of Gokula all the men and the women young and old and all the Gopastree reached to the bank of Yamuna and engaged in listening the flute of Sri Krishna. Mantralaya Rayaru described beautifully and rec rded the each and every incident of Gokula. The world is amazed for the Pratibha, Style and the rich vocabulary of Sri Raghavendrateertharu. Such a great Sri Hari Krsihna Swami always Protect me Rayaru has said at the end of this shloka.

VenornirnaadaadvrajagatvanitaaChittahaareeSamaaAvyaat

We are living by the Anugraha of Sri Hari Vayu Guru. Life is blossomed by the affection of our Great Yatiraat Sri Raghavendrateertharu.

Yaavat Vasati Pavanam Dehe
Taavat Pruchchyati Kushalam Gehe

So long as Pavamaana is reiding in our body we are quite comfortable, safe and happy, even in our house also everything will prevail normalcy. So our Pavamaana is:

PAVAMAANA JAGADA PRAANA
SANKARUSHANA BHAVA BHAYA HARANA

Mantralaya Gururayaru meticulously uphold and upholding even to this day the Principle of SRI HARI SARVOTTAMA and VAYUJEEVOTTAMA, a great Bhaagavatottamaru  through daily routine of Sri Moola  Ramadevara Pooja, Uddhaara, Kruti Rachana ,  Hitavachana and  in all the phases. Sri Raghavendrateertha Guruvaryaru did a lot For the sake of the Devotees and even to this day Doing,  Sitting below the Bhavya Divya Neela Brindavana in Mantralaya though engaged in the Deergha Akhanda Japa of Sri Hari. The Devotees are acquiring everything today:

Sarvaanukoolyam Sakalaarthha Siddhim Dadaatu Mae Siddha Ganaagraganyaha
Gnyanam Sadaachaaram UdaaraBhaavam Chittendriyaadeen Cha Paatu Soognyaha

As said by Sri Krishnavadhootaru Devotees are of great Caliber by the Anugraha of our  Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu. Such Devotees are quite happy, get everything what all they desire and everything will be comfortable to them where ever they go. As they are the Devotees of Rayaru and attained Gnyana, Sadaachaara, able to control the desire of Panchendriyas, act and behave liberally, magnanimously, no hide and seek.

Gnyanam Sadaachaaram UdaaraBhaavam Chittendriyaadeen Cha Paatu Soognyaha

Some times when we indulge in toll talk in the friends circle we speak light of them and criticize. This quality simply throws to the circle of bad people - Dushta Sanga - Durjana Sanga. The friendship Sahavaasa Sangati must be good, then only our Dharma, Culture, Tradition, Bhakti and Hitachintana will be on the right track. Sometimes bad friends circle inspires to talk ill of others, that too about the Satvikas, the Sajjanas and the Devotees of Rayaru. All these things happen out of fun, intimacy of friendship etc. and also we reveal  and share our own personal matters. This will result in accruing Paapa, hating the good and the noble.

Kalyaveshana Kalusham Vishayaasakta Chetasam
Snaana Sandhyaadibhirheenam Bhaktiheenam Harow Gurow
Saadhunaam Sangarahitam Dushtaanaam Sangate Sthhitam
Durmaarge Sarvadaa Santam Raghavendraarya Rakshamaam

Owing to the Kali Pravesha  we will be interested only in our Samsara and always engaged in that. We forget even the basic Shuddha Snaana, Sandhya, Aahneeka, Pooja and Hari Bhakti. Not caring our Hari and Guru. We will be with the bad friends rather than living with the Good Devotees of Mantralaya Rayaru. This is really bad

Saadhunaam Sangarahitam Dushtaanaam Sangate Sthhitam

So we are not on the right path. Sri Raghavendrarya our state of affairs are as such please PROTECT. So we must always be alert and careful about our surroundings and the friends. Let us put a question?

YAARU HITAVARU NAMAGA ! WHO IS DEAR AND WELLWISHER TO US

Those who always Pray for our betterment to Mantralaya Rayaru always they are our Dears, Well wishers and Nears. Let us Respect and Regard them.

Divaa Prabhaate Nishi Cha Pradoshe Madhyam Dinae Avyaan Mama Jaagarookaha
Sarveshu Kaaryeshu Cha Sarvadaa Maam Paayaat Guruhu MatKruta Sannidhaanaha

The meaning of this Shloka of SRI RAGHAVENDRATANTRA by the greatest Devotee Sri Krishnavadhhotaru is that our Kind Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru will always Protect and take care everywhere and in all our undertakings. In the  morning and in the day time, in the night and in the evening and the afternoon, during our sleep and awake  - Jaagruti and Sushupti. In all my works and always Protect us. Where ever we are the Sannidhaana of Mantralaya Gururayaru will come and help to the maximum extent to those Devotees as our Senior Hyderabad Devotee always says Complete Surrendering to our Sri Raghavendrateertharu with Firm Faith and Constant Belief. Rayaru always listens the call of the devotees carefully and affectionately.

We have to Remember Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu and surrender completely. By surrendering to Mantralaya Rayaru  we find several answers to many questions. There are certain Devotees who are always Samarpitaru to our Rayaru. For them Rayaru will be present from time to time to Bless them. Sondur Sri Krishnavadhootaru has described in Tantra:

Paapeenaam Agraganyoham Dayaloonaam Tvamaagraneehee
Tvaam Vinaa Nahi Jaanena Anyam Mama Aadya Uddhaarakaaranam

Among the Paapees I am on the top. Gururaya you are top in the list of Kind and affectionate Dayalu. Except you I do not know anybody. Believe that you are my prime uddhaarakaaranaru uddhaarakartaru. This type of Samarpana Bhaava Samarpita Bhaava the Devotees must have.

Our Surrendering and Prayer should be like this. Repentance and Surrendering are the two main things to admit our faults and to rectify.Parama Bhakta Bichali Japadakatti Appanaryaru has said in Gurustotra:

Samsaare Akshaya Saagare Prakrutito Agaadhe Sadaa Dustare
Sarvaa Avadya Jalagruhairanupamaihi Kaamaadi Bhangaakule
Naana Vibhrama Durbhrame Amita Bhayastomaadi Phenotkate
Dukhotkrushta Vishe Samuddhara Guro Mamm Magnaroopam Sadaa

I am fully immersed in this worldly bondage and sufferings. Suffering is at its highest. Oh Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhouma Yativarenya You have to lift me from this never ending oceanic Sorrowful Plight.Dukhotkrushta Vishe Samuddhara Guro Mamm Magnaroopam Sadaa
