Meaning

Monday Pushya Bahula  Avaratri Amavasya January 23rd.2012 is the day that our great Haridasa Sri Purandaradasaru, the Avatara of Deva Muni Sri NaaradaMaharshi attained the lotus feet of Sri Hari. Propagated Sri Hari Bhakti, Described the affection and the Ananta Mahima of Sri Hari and always engaged in the Lokoddhaara. We are amazed to know the rare and the finest combination and the compilation of Adhyatma - Samaja - Life and living and Divinity in our Sri Purandaradasaru:

Manmanobheeshta Daataaram Sarvaabheeshta Phalapradam
Purandara Gurum Vande Dasa Shreshthham Dayanidhim

We praise with honour and Bhakti to our Dasa Shreshthha Sri Purandaradasaru. Lived in Hampi  during  the Golden Age of  Vijayanagara  Empire. Became the dearest Shishya of Guru Vyasarajaru. Sri Vyasarajaru Shashthheeka Vamsha is not an ordinary Swamiji. It is very important to know that no Yatis have offered the Contribution to  our  Lord Tirumala Sri Srinivasa and Tirupati Sri Govindaraja as Sri Vyasarajateertharu liberally offered. SIX  HUNDERED THOUSAND Grams of Gold, laid all the norms and the rules of Pooja Vidhi Vidhaana and Composed the beautiful Stotra on Swami. There are three Shlokas, the last Shloka is described as below:

Praataha Namaami Paramatma Padaaravindam
Ananda Saandra Nilayam Mani Noopuraadhyam
Yetat Samasta Jagataam Iti Darshayantam
Vaikunthham Atra Bhajataam Karapallavena
Vyasaraja Yati Proktam Shloka Trayam Idam Shubham
Praataha Kaale Pathhet Yastu Paapebhyo Muchyate Naraha.

Such a great Yatiraat Sri Vyasarajateertharu (Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu) loved and respected Guru Sri Purandaradasaru, accepted as His Shishya and Blessed the Ankita of Purandara Vithala. At the time of reaching Hampi Aparokshagnyani, Great Soul, Daivee Chetana  Purandararya experienced like a flash back the remembrance of Previous Janma as Sri Naarada Maharshi, Maanasa Putra of Sri Brahmadevaru who was always engaged in the Praise of Sri Hari SriManNarayana - Stotra Gunagaana. Further understood that Sri Vyasarajaru is not an ordinary Saint !Sri  Shankukarna - Sri Prahlada - Sri Baahleeka Avataari and  in the very next Janma Sri Vyasarajateertharu will become  Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateerth Gurusarvabhoumaru and engage in the Lokoddhaara as per the Sankalpa of Sri Hari. Such a Divine Personality Daivee Chetana  resided  in Hampi on the bank of Tungabhadra . The holy routine of our Great Dasaru Purandaradasaru started under the kind  leadership  and guidance of Sri Vyasarayaru. Today we are greatly indebted to Sri Vijayadasaru :

Agnyana Timirachchedam Buddhi Sampat  Pradaayakam
Vignyana Vimalam Shantam Vijaakhya Gurum Bhaje

who has described in detail about our Sri Purandaradasaru:

Shirivarana Dayadinda Janitaru Naradaru
Purandaravemba Nagariyali Charisidaru
Kelavu Dina Samsara Vruttiyali Jaridu
Vairagyavanu Tottu Dhruda Manasinali
Taruni Makkala Sahita Seridaru Kishkindha Giri Tunga Pampadalli
Deshavane Tirugi Punya Kshetragala Metti
Lesaagi Allidda Mahimegala Peli Duraaseyane Toredu
Vithala Sannidhiyali Vaasavaadaru
Dharma Nadateyali Bidade

Sri Naarada Maharshi by the Blessings of Sri Hari born in Purandara Town, lead the life of an Gruhasthha, earned a lot. Attained Vairaagya, abandoned everything wholeheartedly  and along with his family came to the Sacred bank of Tungabhadra Hampi  - Kishkindha Giri Tunga Pampadalli. A great Gnayani Aparokshagnyani, Medhaavi, Hari Bhakta, Tatvagnyani, Aashukavi, Pratibhaanvita, Karunamayee Purandaradasaru always thought of good things in life and desired that the Satvikas should become real Satvikas and attain the Anugraha of Sri Hari. Sri Purandaradasaru  composed about Padas, famous as Dasara Padagalu. Whatever was told by Dasaru it became Saahitya, full of literary values. All should lead a good and happy life on the right path and attain the Anugraha of Sri Hari is the Essence of Dasa Sahitya. Under the able guidance of Sri Vyasarajateertharu spent the days happily in Hampi at the Sanctum of Sri Virupakshadevaru - Sri Rudradevaru, Sri Vijayavithalaswami the personality of Sri Purandaradasaru was fully bl ssomed. It is our great Fortune that Sri Purandaradasaru, Sri Kanakadasaru and Sri Kumaravyasaru lived together  with cordial relations in Hampi under the Krupaachchatra of Sri Vyasaraja Guruvarenyaru. As the days paased on the affectionate feelings of divine relationship of  these stalwarts grew abundantly and the trumpet of Bhakti awakened the Society in general and the Satvikas in Particular. Became successful in propagating the real values of Acharya Tatvas.

Taruni Makkala Sahita Seridaru Kishkindha Giri Tunga Pampadalli

Attained the Ankita of Sri Purandaravithala by Guru Sri Vyasarajateertharu. Travelled through the length and the breadth of our Country, through Padas Dasaru  tried to reform the Socio-Religious evils such as Adumbral - Dambhaachaara, simply to make a show, to pretend and create false impression on others. Actually this troubled the real Sajjanas. So our Sri Purandaradasaru did the Samajoddhaara in this manner, which is the mildest possible way. Described the qualities of Vaishnava , Hari Bhakta and the Mahima of the omniscient and the omnipotent Sri Hari and upheld :

Sri Hari Sarvottama   -    Sri Hara Vaishnavottama      and   Sri Vayujeevottama

Tried to bring a healthy harmony among the Shiva Bhaktas and the Haribhaktas.

Sri Vyasarajateertharu highly impressed to the Bhaagavata Dharmoddhaara of DevaMuni Sri Naaradara Avatari Sri Purandaradasaru. Appreciated the Vast and the Abundant  Literature of  Sri Purandaradasaru and praised as Varanasi - Aashukavi. Not only that did the Naamakarana to the Sahitya of our Dasaryaru as Sri Purandaropanishattu and said that by proper understanding the Padas of Sri Purandaradasaru all the evils will be washed away and Attain Sugnyana (Right Knowledge) and Moksha. What more we require? Aparokshagnyani Sri Vyasarayaru fully knowing the Avatara and the Janmas, said the following things to Sri Surendrateertharu the 14th. Pontiff of our Rayara Mutt. Once Sri Surendrateertharu came to Anegundi and took the Darshana of the Holy Brindavanas situated in the middle of the Tungabhadra river like an island. Thrilled to see the sanctum with devotion. On the bank Swamiji pleased to see the plain  rocky bed and decided to perform the Pooja of Sri MoolaRamadevaru. So after the holy dip, Aahneeka and Japa sat for the Traditional Pooja of our Vidya Mutt. The king of Vijayanagara came to know that Sri Surendrateertharu had come there. So requested  Kula Guru - Raja Guru Sri Vyasarajaru to invite Sri Surendrateertharu to Hampi. When the Pooja was in progress our Sri Vyasarajaru met and amazed to know the Power and the Siddhi of Maanasapooja. Offered an invitation to visit Hampi to the Palace of the Emperor and also to the Mutt. Swamiji readily agreed. Sent the message of his arrival from Anegundi to Hampi. Welcomed with great honour and made necessary arrangements to stay. As usual early in the morning Sri  Surendrateertharu pleased to visit the Tulasi garden on the b nk of the Tungabhadra and immediately through Maanasapooja offered the whole Tulasi to our Sri MoolaRamadevaru. The shishyas of Sri Vyasarajaru plucked the Tulasi and placed for the Pooja of Sri Vyasarajaru. After seeing the Tulasi Sri Vyasarajateertharu said, this Tulasi is Nirmaalya, it is already offered to Sri Hari. The shishyas said just now from the Tulasi garden only we have brought the fresh Tulasi. Sri Vyasarajaru  Aparokshagnyani said with divyadrushti, that Sri Surendrateertharu has offered the entire Tulasi of the garden to Sri MoolaRamadevaru. All were amazed to know the greatness of the two Paramhamsas Sri Vyasarajaru and Sri Surendrateertharu.

At that time Sri Vyasarajateertharu talked  to Sri Surendrateertharu, looking at the young shishya Sri Vishnuteertharu of Naagalapura said Sri Surendrateertha Swamiji that this young  Shishya Sri Vishnuteertha of Naagalapura is none but  the 11th Pontiff of  Vidya Mutt Sri Vibudhendrateertharu, again born with a strong desire to worship Sri Moola Ramadevaru. Please accept him as your successor and perform the Naamakarana as Sri Vijayeendrateertharu. Sri Jitamitraru will take birth as Sudheendrateertharu and I Myself who is worshipping Sri Krishna deva will take Avatara as Sri Raghavendrateertharu to worship Sri MoolaRamadevaru. This is the real fact told by Sri Vyasarajateertharu. Such a great Yativarenya  Swaroopoddharakaru has accepted  our Sri Purandaradasaru as his dear Shishya. Not only that said that Dasaru Purandaradasaru as Guru Sri Purandaradasaru. Composed the following Pada:

Dasarendare Purandaradasarayya
Vasudeva Krishnanna Soosi Poojisuva

Shishyas will praise make stotra to their Gurus. Here Guru Sri Vyasarajateertharu has praised, regarded and respected Sri Puramndaradasaru.
Dasaru means Purandaradasaru and also laid the certain norms and rules for the Haridasas, how to behave and what qualities they should have and which will hold good to them always.

Neeti Yellavanaritu Nigamavedana Nitya
Vaata Sutanallihana Varnisutalee
Geeta Nartanadi Sri Krishnanna Poojisuva
Pootaatma Purandaradasarayya

Sri Purandaradasaru is having all the finest qualities of Sri Hari Dasaru, the essence of Padas completely complete comply with the Vedopanishadas, Harisarvottama and Vyujeevottama. Such a great Sri Purandaradasaru is worshipping Sri Krishna with Complete involvement Sampurna Sarva Samarpana So our Sri Purandaradasaru is

Pootaatma Purandaradasarayya.

Sri Purandasaru from Hampi reached Pandharapur and lived worshipping Vithala. It is quite interseting that during Sanchara when Rayaru visited Pandharapur,Purandaradasaru gave Pratyaksha Darshana to Sri Raghavendrateertharu at the Purandaradasara Stambha in the form of Sri Naaradaru.

So World devotees we are glad to know the kind co-ordination and the compilation of Divinity in one centre. Sri Purandaradadasaru Sri Kanakadasaru Sri Kumaravyasru under the Divine Guidance of Sri Vyuasarajateertharu in Hampi on the bank of Tungabhadra. All the Dasaryas have spread their message through the padasa danced with devotional ecstasy on the Mangalada Tungeyangala in Mantralaya. We find a difference of 108 Years between our Sri Purandaradasaru and Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu
