Background

Ashweeja Shuddha Pratipada Navaratri began. Satvikas perform GhataSthhaapana in the name of Kulaswami. Invite our Kulaswami in the Ghatta and pray to accept the pooja. Our Prayer will reach to Swami through Deepaaraadhane. So with purity in the house and heart we arrange everything properly during the Sharannavaratri.

Meaning


Sri Rama and Laxmana after the incident of Seetapaharana by Daitya Raavana, left Panchavati Ashrama in search of Seeta. RamaLaxmana felt very bad to see the plight of Jataayu almost about to breathe the last to convey the way and the direction of  Raavana and the miserable indisposition of Seeta. After knowing the route from Jataayu Sri Rama and Laxmana reached the Sacred bank of Tungabhadra the famous abode of  Rudradeva, Hampi.

Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu beautifully described with Devotion in the most Concise form in Sri Ramachaaritramanjari. There are some Mantralaya Devotees who will take the food only after performing the Nitya Paaraayana of Sri Ramayana. This Kavya Sri Ramachaaritramanjari is a BOON to them. It is quite interesting to know that the Visit of Hampi along with His Guru Sri Sudheendrateertharu impressed a lot the Sanctum and the Panorama of Hampi - Anegundi - Navavrundavana - Chakrateerthha - Rushyamooka Parvata, Malyavanta Parvata Cave( Malyvatkandara), the Shambhunatha Cave to our Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu. At the same time the ancestors of our Rayaru lived and shined in Hampi. The entire glory appeared like a flash back to the inward of our Rayaru.

The arrival of Aashweeja Suddha Pratipada simply lights and delights the NandaaDeepas - Akhanda Deepaaraadhane in the Samsarane of Sri Srinivasadevaru for nine days and nine nights. Sri Raghavendra Guruvarya Celebrated with grandeur and devotion even in Poorvashrama also.

Always Completely Believed that the Remembrance of Sri Hari is the real wealth. So all the ancestors of our Rayaru lived and honestly followed this Principle through out their life time. Our Yatiraataru inherited this Divine Quality from their ancestors and much more glorified and glorifying even to this day sitting below the Brindavana in Mantralaya in the Deergha Akhanda Japa of Sri Hari. This a Great Heritage and Akshaya Sampattu.  Laxmi and Saraswati both are Blessed to our Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu. Everything is for the sake of the Devotees. Rayaru never utilized anything even the Punya for his sake. Such a Noble Daivee  Chetana is our Karunaalu Rayaru.

Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru after taking the Possession of Mantralaya first constructed the Temple of Kulaswami Sri Venkateshwara through Diwan Venkanna  and on an auspicious day Completed the Pratishthhaapana of Swami.It is heartening to know that our Gururayaru observed the Chaaturmaasa Vruta in the Sri Venkateshwara Temple along with Sri Yogeendrateertharu. The Procession for Brindavana Pravesha of our Gururayaru started from the Temple of Kulaswami Sri Venkateshwara only. We are really amazed to know the foresight of Diwan Venkanna  that this Temple is situated on the most elevated place in Mantralaya with a considerable height,  the old Mantralaya was arranged by Diwan Venkanna. During the recent floods all the residents took shelter in the Temple and also on the top of the roof. Thus Saved from the ravages of floods.

Navaratri Festival Deepa Samyojana NandaDeepotsava of ghee and oil for all the 24 hours of the nine days with Bhakti and Vaibhava Aacharane in this Temple only. Pooja Vishesha Pooja Alankara Naivedya and the Vaachana Pravachana of Bhavishyottara Puranantargata Sri Venkateshwara Mahatmye. In the Mutt also the same thing. Special Alankara to all the Yatis in Mantralaya Sri Venkateshapurana Saptaaha, Nandadeepas of  ghee and oil DeepaSamyojane Deepaaraadhane and also Sachchaastra Seva. Looking all these things in Mantralaya we remember the wordings of our Dasarayaru:

Sri Raghavendrateertharu completely Believed Sri Hari saying that Swami you are the Sarvswa and attained the Affection of Sri Hari to Bless the world Devotees. We can say Bhaktaanugraha Shakti  used for the Lokaanugraha.

All the Smarane spontaneously like a fountain overflowed in the heart of our Rayaru, that too during the Sharannavaratri Utsava of  Tirumale Vaasa Srinivasadevaru.The Bhakti and the  Siddhi of Mantralaya Rayaru is so great and fortunate that Rayaru attained Pratyaksha Darshana  of Tirumale Sri Srinivasaswami at the Sanctum of Sri Panchamukhi Praanadevaru.

Mantralaya Devotees Celebrate this Navaratri Deepa Samyojana  Ahoraatri with a pair of ghee and with a pair of oil Nandadeepa. It means two Deepas of ghee and two Deepas of oil. Perform all the Pooja Kainkarya with utmost devotion and spend the maximum time in Pooja, Alankara, Bhavishyottara Purana  Sri Hari Dhyaana and the Sankeertana of Sri HariVayuGurugalu. Each day is a Festival and of great importance. Perform the proper Pathhana of Sri Raghavendra Gurustotra and Mangalashtaka. Devotees of Mantralaya Rayaru apply the Paadadhooli Mruttika of Rayaru as Alankara to their body. Always interested in the Seva of the Lotus Feet of Rayaru and engaged in the Sankeertana of Rayaru. Devotees Seva must be Trikaranapurvaka - Kaayaa Vaachaa Manasaa.  They will be very dear and close to Rayaru. The dawn of Navaratri marks a new era of Bhakti to the Devotees of Mantralaya to achieve the Anugraha of Sri Rayaru and lead the life on the right path. Celebrate the Sacred Navaratri Nandadeepotasava to Sri Hari Vayu Guru. Through the length and the breadth of our  country Rayaru took Sanchaara and Completed Teethha Yaatra. But when Rayaru reached the abode of Hampi, Anegundi experienced altogether a new  experience and highly satisfied.

Chakrateerthha Yantroddhaarakaru, Hampi Sri Virupaksha, Rushyamookaparvata, Kishkindhe are all very Sacred and Holy. Malyavanta cave where Sri RamaLaxmana lived. and Rayaru  liked very much and recorded the same in Sri Ramachaaritramanjari in the wordings of Sri Ramachandradevaru.
