Background

Sri Krishnashtami, the greatness of Venisompura Sri Vyasatatvagnyateertharu The Bidi Sanyasi of our Vidyamutt who took Ashrama by Sri Bhuvanendrateertharu the 29th. Swamiji of our Mutt and the Vyakhyaana of the 5th. Shloka of Sri Ramacharitramanjaree are described in Mantralaya(419).


Meaning

Dear Devotees we are now in the last phase of Punyakara Shraavana. Recently we have Celebrated Sri Krishnashtami - Sri Gokulashtami - The Janmotsava of Lord Sri Krishna. Ashtamyaam Rohini Tithhou. The whole world has Celebrated with Devotion the Utsava of Sri Krishnashtami. The Devotees who have come to Mantralaya for the Aaradhana will stay up to Gokulashtami and Celebrate in Mantralaya as our Gururayaru is the greatest Devotee of Sri Krishna Paramatma. Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru  is the Parama Bhakta of Sri Krishna. It is interesting to know that Swami is so pleased towards our Rayaru that always visible playing the flute to our Divine Saint. After this Festival the Mantralaya Pilgrims will return to their respective places.

On this auspicious day of  Shraavana Bahula Gokulashtami August 22nd 2011 the Aaradhana of Sri Vyasatatvagnyateertharu, the Bidi Sanyasi of our Vidya Mutt Celebrated at Venisompur. A Powerful Swamiji, Pandit, Gnyani, Aparokshagnyani and the Parama Bhakta of Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru.Poorvashrama name was Sri Ayijee Venkataramacharyaru, Took Hamsanaamaka Ashrama by the 29th. Pontiff of our VidyaMutt Sri Bhuvanendratreertharu and became a Bidi Sanyasi. Parama Vairaagyamurty. Avatara of Dhrustaduymna. It is highly essential  to know that 18 times Sri Vyasatatvagnyateertharu performed the Mangala of Sri Sudha Paarayana, Sudha Paathha and Sudha Pravachana. During Paathha Rayaru has cleared the doubts through Parimala Tippani. A  Paramahamsa of Siddha Sankalpa.

In Venisompur the Sacred Tungabhadra is flowing a little far from the house of  our Saint Sri Vyuasatatvagnyateertharu. One day he said Oh! Tungamma  Tungabhadramma  I have become old, feeling the distance, with his Dandakashta He marked a line from the river to his residence and requested Tungamma to flow up to his residence. It is quite amazing to see that next morning a stream, a tributary of Tungabhadra was flowing in front of the house of Sri Vyasatatvagnyateertharu. Rendered the greatest contribution to Dasa Sahitya through Padas. A Great Sanskrit Scholar, A Great Saahiti - literary man, A Great Aparokshagnyani and A Great Parama Bhakta of our Mantralaya Rayaru. Such great  Punya Vardhana, Punya Chetana  and Manukuloddhaara Yatis have adorned our Hamsanaamaka Paramatma's Saakshat Parampara of Sri Madhwacharya Moola Maha Samsthhaana of our Vidya Mutt. We are really Fortunate to know all this.

Let us go into the details of  the Vyakhyaana of Shreepadaputra Vidwat Chakra Choodamani Sri Laxminarayanacharyaru's  Sri Ramachaaritramajari  of our Yatiraat Gururaat  Sri Raghavendrateertharu. After staying in Chitrakuta, during the long 14 years of Vanavaasa our Seeta, Rama and Laxmana moved towards Dandakaaranya. They gladly accepted and enjoyed the kind hospitality.

They all said in one voice. Lord Sri Ramachandradeva at this juncture lot of trouble, nuisance and inconvenience is caused by the Asuras and the Rakshasa. They have become very powerful and offending the Rushi Munis, Sajjanas and the Satvikas in their daily sacred routine. Unable to carry out the regular Pooja, Homa, Havana etc. Raaksha Baadha is at its highest. They have to be taught a lesson Sri Rama, So they all requested and pleaded for Dushta Shikshe and Shishta Paripaalane. Further all the Rushis under the leadership of Sri Agastya Maharshi said, here are the main Weapons, Astras, Billu Baanas given by Indradeva to kill the Rakshas. Please accept them. Sri Ramachandradeva happily accepted the gift of Rushi Munis. They breathed a sigh of relief that the wicked Rakkasa Kula will be punished and perished once for all. Then Sri Vishnu Sri Laxmi Sri Shesha our Sri Rama Seeta Laxmana reached Punyakara Panchavati. Abundant Nature's gift of thick  green trees, water streams and falls surrounding Panchavati with a cool breeze welcomed Sri SeetaRamaLaxmana with folded hands. The Affectionate Karula Kudis of Dasharathha Maharaja, though  enjoyed the life in the mansion they adjusted to the ascetic  type of RushyaaAshrama life and lived happily under  the Grandeur and the Sublimity of Mother Nature.

Thus PANCHAVATI played an important role in Ramayana. It is the place where Shoorpanakhi the sister of Raavana came and forced Sri Rama and Laxmana to marry her. In turn she became vikruta viroopa vikaara and enemity sprang up immediately. our Seeta is stolen by Asura Raavana in Panchavati only. This fifth shloka depicts the Pratibhaa Paaramya of our Mantralaya Yatiraat Gururaat. Rayaru is second to none.Only in one shloka the whole reason of Seetaapaharana is beautifully described in Sangraha Roopa. Where as in Ramayana several pages are reserved for that. Once  in the war Raavana wrongly delivered an arrow towards his brother-in-law, the husband of Shoorpanakhi and died. Raavana consoled his sister and gave a Boon Vara that she can marry whom so ever she liked very much. Owing to that Vara she came to Panchavati and impressed to see the handsome personality of Sri Rama and Laxmana. Forced to marry her. Finally  angry Laxmana cut off her nose and ears. Shoorpanakhi became Vikruta Vikaara Viroopa. This is the first step of enenemity of Raavana towards Sri Rama and Laxmana. Greatly impressed and surprised to see the amazing beauty of Seeta. We are really overwhelmed to read the Pada Prayoga of Sri Raghavendrateertharu. Only in a few words described powerfully and effectively. Raavana became furious to listen to the insult and to see the Vikaara Roopa of his dear sister. The flame of revenge lighted and immediately sent

14, 14 numbers of  the head of the Rakshasas, Khara Dooshana Trisheershas and lot of Rakkasas instructed to kill Sri Rama and Laxmana. They all invaded  and encircled the Ashrama of Panchavati and showered the arrows on RamaLaxmana. Without any difficulty Sri Rama and Laxmana killed the entire Rakshasas including Khara Dooshana and Trisheershas. This incident  further annoyed Raavana. After hearing the description of Seeta's beauty by Shoorpanakhi Raavana decided to steal Seeta treacherously.

Discussed with his Minister Maareecha and detailed his plan to steal Seeta. As a Mantri Maareecha advised to give up this idea. But Vinaasha Kaale Vipareeta Buddhihi Raavana did not listen to the wordings of  Maareecha. On the contrary ordered him to help in this matter. Asked Maareecha to become a beautiful deer and wander arounder the Ashrama in Panchavati and attract Seeta. Then Rama will go out to catch the deer at that time with an ascetic dress I will steal away Seeta and take her to Lanka.

The  Ill Fate of Raavana actively worked soon. Within no time Raavana reached Panchavati with Maareecha. Though a brave warrior but thought like a Coward and chose the wrong way of Stealing away. Mareecha Rakshasa took the most attractive look of a golden deer with a beautiful skin. Simply walked round the Ashrama in Panchavati. Loka Maata Seeta impressed to see the deer. Asked Rama to catch the deer and bring to her. Rama chased the deer. It soon took him too far from the Ashrama and Rama could not catch. Rama tired and at last did Baana Prayoga ! Rama Baana never goes invain ! Soon the deer took its Nija Roopa of Maareecha and at the time of his death he simply Called loudly in the voice of Rama shouting Haa Laxmana ! Haa Seeta !

It is an example that wicked people always do wicked things even at the time of their death.

To understand the Great Creative Pratibhaa Koushala and Sampattu of our Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu Sri Ramachaaritramanjari's one shloka is sufficient. This Kavya depicts Sri Ramaraadhaka Punya Murty  Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu's Sri Moola Rama Bhakti. A Symbol ( Prateeka) of Sri Moola Rama Bhakti.

In this Sangraha Rayaru has not left out even a single instance of Ramayana. As we describe we go on expanding. This is the Speciality of our Sri Rayaru.
