Background

The offering of Pitra Runa - Gratitude and the Divine Power of Mantralaya Yatiraat , Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru are described in Mantralaya(371).
 
 

Meaning

So a feeling  of affection, gratitude and proud about the parents is to be remembered in life always. Pitru Paksha is a means of all this. A Parva Dina is Pitru Paksha. Here the gratitude and the love counts more rather than the gift of gold or silver to Acharyas. A mouthful of  rice is sufficient for the pitrus for the complete one year, where ever they are and in which form they are ! So offering of Anna on this Paksha is very important. This Paksha covers all the deceased relatives. Devotion - Bhakti, Gratitude - Krutagnyataa, Shraddha - Sincereity and Affection are most important rather than the Show of rich Daana of Silver vessels or gold ornaments.  Shraddhaahi Shraadhaha - Real love with devotion at the time of Pindapradaana and offering of NaivedyaT( the same mouthful of rice) counts more to pronounce :

GAYAA KRUTA SHRAADDHA PHALAMASTU  is meaningful.

It is quite amazing to know that our Mantralaya Gururaat Sri Raghavendrateertharu knew all these sacred things from his father Sri Veena Timmannabhattaru at the young age before Upanayana Samskaara.

Dear world devotees, when we remember the Extraordinary Divine Power of our Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu we feel a sort Emotion - Romaancha - a sort of Enlightenment. What ever  the Paapas, bad deeds and actions, Doshas are  committed (done) by us through KaliPurusha Mantralaya Rayaru is the only Saint, Yogi,Mahanta, Mahaneeya, Swami to wipe off all that and do our Uddhaara and gear up to the right and the safe mode. So our Sri HariDasas have called Sri Raghavendrateertharu  as  Santara Vodeya  and is very  famous as the most merciful kind  Swamiji - Karunaalu. At each and every step  during Prahlada Avatara Rayaru upheld and propagated  Sri Harisarvottama and Vayujeevottama and planted the tree of HariBhakti in the heart of the  entire Daitya Baalaka. That noble work is in progress even today in Mantralaya to the world devotees. Always protecting the Devotees and not leaving their hands under any circumstances what so ever it may be.

Apaekshita Pradaataanyo Raghavendraan Na Vidyate

In Prahlada Avatara Sri Narasimhadevaru taking Prahladarajaru on his lap with affection said:

Tavaam Cha Maam Smaran  Kaale Karma Bandhaat Pramuchyatae

Oh! Bhakta Prahlada when ever you remember me immediately I will solve all your problems including the difficult task to make free from Karma Bandhana.

Sri Raghavendrateertharu has practically shown and made it clear to the devotees. Once on Sanchara Sri Raghavendrateertharu had been to Chitradurga. There a sober satvika devotee of Rayaru was residing. In those days water tap facility was not available satisfactorily. All have to draw the water from the wells. Those who cannot draw the water from the wells, they used to get water by engaging some one. Sober satvika Venkanna was doing that job of drawing water from the well and filling in the water in the houses. Venkanna a staunch believer of  Sri Raghavendrateertharu was always asking Rayaru to give him Mukti and insisting the same.

Rayaru asked do you really want Mukti. Mukti means getting away from this world. Then Venkanna said, really want Mukti and ready to do anything. Rayaru said ok, tomorrow morning get your hair removed from your head - Kshourakarma, take bath. With all purity come to me Rayaru said. Next morning Venkanna came to Rayaru. Rayaru looked at him and said  again, do you really like Mukti, Mukti said yes without any fear. Are you READY NOW ! Yes  he said. Then prepare fire with the heap of  firewoods. He made it ready. Then Rayaru said you have enter the fire, soon you will be burnt into ashes. Agreed with joy. First perform Namaskara to Agni and then enter. Performed Namaskara pronouncing OM SRI RAGHAVENDRAAYA NAMAHA entered the fire and soon he was burnt into ashes. The gathered Sajjanas raised objection to Rayaru that this poor fellow asked Mukti and instead of protecting him you have killed him. Then Rayaru said to them and showed at the sky : Look  Venkanna is sitting in the Pushpaka Vimaana, the messengers of God are taking Venkanna to Vaikunthha. After witnessing this noble scene the gathered mass at Chitradurga simply amazed to see the Divine Power Miracle of our GuruRaghaendrateertharu,  everybody praised Rayaru. Rayaru  said Venkanna was keen in desiring Mukti so imparted Mukti by Sri Hari.Our Kosigi Sri GuruJagannathadasaru has said in his songs:

Nambi Kettavarillavo Ee Gurugala
Nambade Keduvarunto

Nambida Janarige Bembala Taanaagi
Hambalisida Phala Tumbikoduvaranna

Jaladhara Dwijavarage Taane Validu
Sulabhadi Mukutiyanitta

Sri Raghavendrateertharu has acquired the Aavesha of Sri Vayudevaru and the complete Anugraha of Sri Narahari during Prahlada Avatara. So today we find in Mantralaya the Paadapooje of Sri Prahladarajaru, Kanakabhisheka - Kanaka Mahapooje - Suvarna Rathhotsava and SarvasamarpanaSeva. Shankukarna is the Avatara of :

Vayunaa Cha Samaavishtaha Mahabala Samanvitaha

Vayudevaru always obeys the orders of Sri Hari Prahladarajaru attained Vishesha Aavesha of Sri Vayudevaru and that Prahladarajaru is our Sri Raghavendrateertharu. Dear world devotees please know the Special Qualities of our Rayaru:

Prahladow Janma Vaishnavaha  Prahladow Nitya Bhaktimaan
Rutaitu Taatvikaan Devaan Naaradaadeem Tathhaiva Cha
Prahladaaduttamaha Kounu Vishnu Bhaktow Jagatraye

Vaishnava by birth, by bhakti and tatvika siddhanta. No one can excel our Mantralaya Rayaru. Such a great divine power our Rayaru has possessed. Using the entire Punya, Power, Siddhi for our Uddhaara. Because we know only Rayaru:

Sri Krishnavadhootaru has already said:

Paapeenaam Agraganyoham Dayaloonaam Tvamaagraneehee
Tvaam Vinaa Nahi Jaanena Anyam Maam Aadya Uddhaara Kaaranam.

The above wordings of Kosigi Sri GuruJagannathadasaru are true. We have completely Believed our Mantralaya Sri RaghavendrateerthaGurusarvabhoumaru and he will never leave our hands. Definitely HELP US. So we have no fear of any any Gods and Devils. As Sri Gururayaru is having the Aavesha of Sri Vayudevaru and very dear to Sri Hari, so Rayaru is doing the Uddhaara of the world devotees with Divine Feelings(Deva Bhaava).
