Mantralaya-35

(Pandit of Bijapur)

Background

A Miracle which happened Two years back to the Pandit of Bijapur in connection with the Translation  of ‘SUDHA’ EXPLAINED by Sri Malaki Hanumeshacharya is described in the form of poem.

Meaning

I would like  to describe the incident explained by Sri Hanumeshacharya of Mantralaya to all our devotees.A Brahmin who is called “Sudha Pandit” of Bijapur made up his mind to translate the “SUDHA GRANTHA”.When he started the job hundreds of doubts arose and could not find proper meanings in certain stanzas. He immediately decided to go to Mantralaya. After reaching Mantralaya ,he stayed in a room in Math’s chowltry. After taking a holy dip in Tungabhadra, he had darshana of Manchalemma, PranaDevaru and Sri Rayaru.Started pradakshina and namaskara like all other devotees in the morning and evening. After concluding seva for the day,  he went to the chowltry for sleep. Mantralaya Guru Rayaru appeared in his dream and said “You have come here for the translation of “SUDHA”- so instead of pradakshina and namaskata, sit before me and start the writing work”.Sudha Pandit described the dream to the Archakas and staff members of Sri Matha. They allowed him to sit inside , that too in front of Shree Rayaru and Shree Prana Devaru. Music, literature, veda, vedanta and vedang parangata Sree Rayaru recognized the ability of Sudha Pandit and inspired him for his writings. Thus Shree Rayaru has expressed and proclaimed the philosophy of Shree Madacharyaru.

Shree Rayaru accepts sevas as per the ability of the devotees. Sudha Pandit desired to complete writng Work within a week. But due to the miracle of Shree Rayaru he completed the greatest task - great work within three days. All the doubts cleared with proper meanings as he was sitting in front of Shree Rayaru. After completion of the work the joy of Sudha Pandit knew no bounds. He was thrilled with devotion. After hastodaka and prasada, received phala mantrakshata and returned to his Native place.

We can Understand Mantralaya Rayaru's Love and taste towards literature, concern about Madhva Siddhanta and affection of Shree Hari. So our dasaru have sung with ecstasy  "Raghavendra Chandra Guna Sandra".
