Background

The holy routine of Rayaru at Kolhapur and Chhatrapati Shivaji  acquired the Blessings of Sri Raghavendrateertharu  are described in Mantralaya(332).
 

Meaning

Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru is the 17th. Pontiff of our Rayara Mutt -   Vidya Mutt - Jagadguru SriManMadhwacharya's Moola Maha Samsthhana. Sri Prahlada Sri Vyasarajaravatari Sri Raghavendrateertharu a great Daivee Chetana who has acquired the complete Anugraha of Sri Hari.

Child Dhruva sat for Tapasya in the thick forest with intense devotion as per the advice of Deva Rushi Sri Naarada Maharshi for six months. The echoing of  Chanting of Pranava Mantra, the Mantra told by Sri Naaradaru is Guroopadesha:

Om  Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaaya Namaha

Sri Hari highly pleased to his Tapasya and became Pratyaksha. Dhruva felt extremely happy, could not understand how to praise Sri Hari stood like a dumb. Immediately Kind Sri Hari touched his  right cheek with Brahmamaya Shankha. That mere Sparsha touch to his cheek made Dhruva to spell Omkaara:

Yontaha Pravishya Mama Vaachamimaam Prasuptaam
Sanjeevayat Akhila Shaktidharaha Swadhaamnaam
Anyamscha Hasta Charana Shravanatvagaadeen
Praanaan Namo Bhavate Purushaaya Tubhyam

Sarvatra Sarvaswa Sarva Vyaapi Sri Hari is always with our Sri Rayaru. Completely surrendered Samarpana Bhaava the chanting of Pranava Mantra Omkaara OM OM  made Rayaru a great Siddhi Chetana and Divya Chetana.   Naropanth Hanumanthe a Satvika youth ,like the right hand of Shivaji  was trying  and dreaming of establishing a Hindu Empire and protect Hindu Dharma, a Madhwa Bhakta Parama Bhakta of our GuruRaghavendraru was mainly responsible to arrange the  Chaaturmaasa of Rayaru in Kolhapura. Naropanth Hanumanthe requested Rayaru for Chaaturmaasa in Kolhapur.At that Chaaturmaasa was not for 40days but for complete four months. Stayed in one place for four months owing to the rain. Timely rains and crops with very good yield thus resulted in sumptuous and happiness. Daily Darshana of Sri Mahalaxmi, Paathha Pravachana Pooja of Sri MoolaRamadevaru and Granthha Rachana was in progress. Satvikas,Astikas,Sajjanas listened the Upadeshaamruta of Rayaru daily  and became grateful. Daily Naropanth Hanumanthe was taking the Darshana of Sri Rayaru without fail, thus acquired Punya and glorified his kind creative personality.

One day evening Naropanth after the Darshana told Rayaru that Shivaji Maharaj is in   Kolhapur, residing in Rajamandira. So requested Rayaru  to Bless and Bestow success for the construction of Mighty Hindu Samrajya and to protect the Sanaatana Hindu Dharma and Hindu Culture. Saying this with great devotion Naropanth placed his forehead on the lotus feet of Rayaru. Rayaru said alright it is the will and wish of Sri Kolhapur Mahalaxmi and the Sankalpa of Sri Hari. So Rayaru went along with Naropanth Hanumanthe to the Palace.

Shivaji himself was waiting to  receive Rayaru with his mother Jeejabai, son Shambhaji and with his wives and also with the royal paraphernalia with joy and pleasure Welcomed Sri Raghavendrateertharu with great honour and devotion. Performed Paada Pooja and presented gold, silver, money  and silk vastras. Then Shivaji touched the lotus feet of Rayaru. Rayaru said I have heard about your brave chivalry activities, good qualities and  noble personality through Naropanth. So I have come to the palace to Bless for the noble task.Now I have seen you personally impressed a lot. Go ahead with your programme of Hindu Samrajya. Our Sri MoolaRamadeva's Blessings  are with you. Not only this daily during pooja I will pray for your success and constructive activities to protect Hindu Dharma Samskruti. Chhatrapati Shivaji I am happy and proud about you that India has given birth to heroes like you, lucky and fortunate we are to live in India. With these words Rayaru Blessed Shivaji putting the hand on the head of Shivaji.

Shivaji experienced a new great divine experience. He squatted before Rayaru with his sword Bhavani and prayed Gurudeva kindly Bless. Rayaru happily said:

DHARMO RAKSHATI RAKSHITAHA

A forceful flow of new power, thought and action spontaneously  entered in the heart  and centered in Shivaji by the Daivee Sparsha of GuruRayaru.

We are amazed to see Sri Raghavendrateertharu, along with the sacred routine of pooja also took active participation in the welfare of Hindu Samrajya and Hindu Dharma. Our Yatiraat throbbed and responded for the socio- economic-political conditions in those days.  So Rayaru became very close, near and dear to the devotees.

In front of Naropanth Hanumanthe Rayaru gave Phala Mantrakshate to the whole family of Shivaji and Blessed whole heartedly. Kolhapur stay Chaaturmaasa a great experience to Rayaru. Rayaru said Tirumala Srinivas how is your Leela, you are in Tirumala your Laxmi is in your heart. The Kolhapur temple is so amazing and Sri Mahalaxmi is in the spacious temple do not understand where we go and where we come, beautiful pillars and pillars.

Then Sri Gururayaru decided to go for sanchara to Nasik and Trayambakeshwara to have the Divya Darshana of Sri Rudradevaru. Dear World Devotees please look at  our Rayaru's multifarious activities and human concern.

Our Bichali Sri Appanacharyaru has said in Gurustotra:

Sarvabheeshta Siddhyartham Namaskaram Karomyham
TavaSankeertanam Veda Shaastraarthha Gnyana Siddhaye

So all are after Rayaru today.
