During the time of Sun Eclipse ,Moon Eclipse and when Pushya Nakshatra falls on Sunday, Amavaasya, Pournima,Janma Nakshatra, We have to perform the Ashtottara of Sacred Sri Raghavendra Gurustotra of Bichali Sri Appanacharya, it means we have to Chant with Devotion Gurustotra for 108 TIMES to attain Siddhi. Such Devotees will never be affected by any wicked elements.
Dear Devotees Sri RaghavendraGurustotra is such a Powerful Siddhi Stotra. The very Composition is fully based on Bhakti of our Bichali Appanacharya, a true Devotee of Rayaru, who has Composed Spontaneously, that too while crossing Tungabhadra on the day of Brindavana of our Rayaru.
The Kolhapura Yatra of Sri Raghavendrateertharu,
the strong desire of reconstruction of Hindu Empire by Shivaji and the
personality of Naropanth Hanumante fully charged and recharged by Rayaru
are described in Mantralaya(311).
SriMatRamaPadaaravinda Madhupaha Sri Madhwa Vamshaadhipaha
Again in the Sacred Aditya Purana it is described that Sanakaadi Rushis with their mediatation(Dhyana) and tied the Lotus feet of Sri Hari with their Bhakti.
BhaktaBhaktiSupaashenaBaddhaSatpaadaPankajam
SankaadiDhyaanaagamyam Srinivasa Bhajer Nisham.
These Rushis are in the Dhyana of Srinivasa day in and day out AhoRaatri. There is a general rule to the Yatis that they have to chant one lakh Pranava Mantra of OM OM regularly without fail. Our Sri Raghavendrateertha has excelled all in this regard, always more than one lakh and sitting below the Brindavana also the OM OM Pranava Japa is in full progress to Bless the world Devotees. Rayaru has enhanced the Siddhi and Punya by this Mantra, which has grown to the height of Himalaya.
It is quite interesting to know that how the name Mantralaya was previously called as Manta Shaala , Manta Saala. In Telugu Manta means Fire Saala means a shelter made of four stone pillars and about 5-7 stone pillars are put as roof to the pillars of a square place. Here Yaaga was being performed always. Right from immemorial days this was in vogue. So Sri Prahladarajaru performed Yaaga here.Sri Vibudhendrateertharu had come to this ManSaale, Slowly Manta Saala became ManSaale Manchali and now by Rayaru Mantralaya Mantra Niketana.
A most Siddhi and Holy place Mantralaya in general and the place where our Rayaru is residing in particular. After the Darshana of Sri Vithala Rayaru decided to go to Kolhapur Sri Pandit Narayanacharya, the poorvashrama nephew of our Rayaru, the author of the Sacred Granthha Sri Raghavendra Vijaya has said:
PandurangaVithalameekshya Prasthhitaha Karaveerapuraakhyam
Pattanam Virachayan Hari Pooja Tatra Vaasam
Karochchirakaalam
Thousands of Devotees, Satvikas, Sajjanas welcomed with grandeur and devotion, through out the procession they made Jayakaara of Jaya Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru and highly bent with gratitude they got this golden opportunity to welcome the Divine Saint. In Kolhapur Rayaru experienced the same feeling and the same experience as of Tirumala. The main Person of the welcome committee in Kolhapur was none but a great devotee of Sri Raghavendrateertharu, a Scholar, a Satvika, Bhakta, Parama Vaishnava, a great Patriot of Hinduism and Hindu Culture Naropanth Hanumanthe. Though his name was Narasing Hanumanth Panth, people with honour called him as Naropanth Hanumanthe, a great leader to unite, organise and construct the Nationality of Hindu culture well arranged the whole programme with devotion to welcome Sri Raghavendrateertharu to Kolhapur the Sacred Avaasa of Sri Malalaxmi. Naropanth Hanuman the a popular figure gained abundant affection of the people of Maharashtra, a Madhwa and very dear to our Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu. Life became miserable in those due to the atrocity of the Yavanas to Hindus and caused irreparable loss by demolishing several large Holy Temples and hurted the Hindus. Further it went to such an extent that the Satvikas and he Sajjanas cannot lead the normal routine life.
At that time only Shivaji the son of Shahaji and Jijabai decided to save Hinduism and dreamt of establishing the Hindu Empire. And release the people from the agony and the atrocities of the Muslim rulers. At this juncture Shahaji made Naropanth Hanumathe to join Shivaji. Naropanth a staunch Hindu Madhwa Devotee of Rayaru happily became the close friend of Shivaji owing his dint of merit and scholarship. At the same time brave and courageous. Such a noble man welcomed Sri Guru Raghavendraru with great devotion and it is interesting to know that saught very good advice of our great Yatiraat.
Sri Raghavendrateertharu highly pleased to see the temple of Sri Mahalaxmi. Decided to sit for the holy chaaturmaasa in Kolhapur itself as per the request of Naropanth Hanumanthe and the devotees of Kolhapur. Daily Darshana of Sri Mahalaxmi, Pooja of Sri MoolaRamadevaru and pravachana continuosly for full four months. Wonderful advice to the residents of Kolhapur proved that Sri GuruRaghavendrateertharu is not only a Sanyasi but also a great builder of Human Welfare, Hinduism, Sanatana Dharma and Culture. Without making any show, canvassing Rayaru preached the real values of life and there by enlightened the lives millions and millions.
Naropanth Hanumanthe greatly impressed by Sri Raghavendrateertharu. His joy and happiness knew no bonds, decided to introduce Shivaji to our Yatiraat and acquire the Divine Blessings of Building the Hindu Empire. Naropanth a very clever man personally witnessed the Mahopakaara of Rayaru in Tanjore. Rayaru with divine power made Tanjore sumptuous in all respects and desired that this Maharshtra Kolhapur should also become like Tanjore. So requested Rayaru to come to Kolhapur. Made the best use of Chaaturmaasa of our Rayaru and completely gained the Anugraha of our Rayaru.
Here we feel our Yatis are not only indulged
in the Seva of Sri Hari and preaching through pravachana but also in the
Seva of Janata Janardhana and took part active participation in healthy
politics to provide welfare to the satvikas. By the arrival of Rayaru Shivaji
and Naropanth Hanumanthe delighted to light the Jyoti of Akhanda
Hindu Samraajya. Became pure and shined like the gold. Chaaturmaasa stay
of Yatiraat in olden days helped in several ways and geared up to the constructivity
and the creativity of human welfare. Thus became dear to Sri Hari - Sri
Vayu - Sri Gurugalu.
