Meaning

Our Sri Raghavendrateertharu is pure and sacred as He is free from all the perverted qualities ­ Manovvikaara. A Holy auspicious personality. Rayaru simply made the Vaadis dumb, that they cannot debate further and put forth their thoughts. The great Knowledge of presentation and style ­ Vaagvyakhari of Rayaru cannot be excellled by the Shesha who had thousand hoods.

In those days Mantralaya Rayaru won all the strong Vaadis, PratiVaadis, and debaters. There was a great Sanskrit Scholar by name Sheshavarma .He was not defeated by anybody till that day. Rayaru with the abundant knowledge of Vedas, Shastras, Madhwa Siddhanta defeated in Vaada by the style in which Rayaru talked continuously with Sheshavarma. Nirjita Bhavya Sheshaha. The sixth shloka of Sri Raghavendra Gurustotra composed extempore by the greatest Devotee of Sri Rayaru Bichali Sri Appanacharyaru:

Nirastadosho niravadyaveshaha pratyarthimookatvanidaanabhaashaha |
Vidvatparigneyamahaavishesho vaagvaikharinirjitabhavyasheshaha || 6 ||

Through similies it is described. Here the style of our GuruRayaru won the heart of  that great stalwart Sri Shesha Maharaja of Pandharapura.

Rayaru is expert in Poorva Meemaamse and Uttara Meemaamse and Rayaru himself is the author of  Bhaatta Sangraha. Rayaru is fully aware of :

Shivaaya Vishnu Roopaaya     Shiva Roopaaya Vishnuve
Shivasya Hrudayam Vishnum Vishnusya Hrudayam Shivaaha

When Bichali Sri Appanacharya that his guru entered Brindavana. Immediately the question came to hids mind and heart, that who is the next to speak and debate about Uttara Meemaamsa and Poorva Meemaamsa, expressed in the first shloka of Gurustotra:

Shripurnabodha guruteertha payobdhipaara
Kaamaarimaakshavishamaakshashirahasprishantee |
Poorvottaraamitatarangacharatsuhamsa
Devaalisevita paraanghripayojalagnaa

Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru has given due respect and regard to:

Rudradevaru, Garudadevaru, Sheshadevaru and Vayudevaru. Daily worshipped and is worshipping with great devotion. Sri Prahladarajaru has completely gained the Anugraha of  Sri Narasimhadevaru. Prahladarajaravatari GuruRayaru residing in Mantralaya on the sacred bank of Tungabhadra river which is equal to the Sarayu river of Ayodhya.

Desired Manchali the most siddhi place  to stay for a long time in Brindavana in the long Japa of Sri Hari. So Diwan Venkanna succeeded in handing over the Mantralaya to Rayaru from Siddi Masood Khan - the Nawab of Adoni. Rayaru selected the spot of his Brindavana and asked them to dig there. At that time both Rayaru and Venkanna were present there. After they dug first they found a heap of ash Angaara of Yaaga. Rayaru said that this is the Angara of Yaaga performed during Prahlada Avatara. Then Rayaru asked to dig further, they found a  big Shivalinga of stone. Rayaru said during Prahlada Avatara daily I have worshipped Rudradevaru. Please take it out and install in front of my Brindavana. Facing to my Brindavana install  Sri  Praanadevaru and outside the Garbhaalaya  install Rudradevaru at the right side of Praanadevaru. The successor of our Rayaru  Sri Yogeendrateertharu and Diwan Venkanna did the same immediately after Rayaru  entered  Brindavana.Daily pooja is being continued even to this day. Vaishnavas who always pronounce Sri Harisarvottama and Sri Vayujeevottama are the Araadhakas of Sri Rudradevaru. We perform Yaaga,  the lord of Yaaga Yagnyaadhipa is Rudradevaru. Why to say all that Sri Rudradevaru is Parama Vaishnava abundant affection to Sri Hari. Brahma Vishnu Shiva are very cordial and protect the world, the cordiality and the superiority cannot be questioned   or  analysed by we ordinary human beings. To the wedding of Tirumale Sri Srinivasa the co-operation of Rudradevaru is maximum. To make it clear to the whole world Swami Sri Venkatesha - Sri Srinivasa - Sri Narayana - Sri Krishna - Sri Hari - Sri Ramachandra  said to Rudradevaru that the devotees who so ever come to Tirumale for my Darshana, first they have to take a holy dip in Kapilateertha and take your Darshana first and then they have to climb the seven hills and get my Darshana. Such is the agreement and the arrangement of Sri Hari.

In Ramayana during  the entire Vaanara Sainya has to go to Lanka, so Sri Ramachandra decided for  Setu Bandhana to cross the ocean. Asked Samudraraja to be calm and cool during Setu Bandhana and with Sand only Sri Rama made a Shivalinga and started the pooja of Sri Rudradevaru for Setu Bandhana. Such is the coordination of Sri Hari - Sri Hara - Sri Hari - Sri Rudradeva.

Bhaktaanukampi Sri Hari Mahima is un imaginable to all of us.Bhageerathha prayed  Sri Hari for Gangavatarana. Sri Hari pleased with Bhageerathha Tapasya and allowed the sacred Ganga to flow to Bhooloka from his thigh. Dear Devotees please look at the kind concern, care  and the affection of Sri Rudradevaru, the forceful  flow of Ganga from Heaven may cause damage to the earth and the residents, so Rudradevaru welcomed Ganga on his head Jade, then slowly released Ganga and made our Uddhaara. This noble kind task of Rudradevaru is always remembered as long as the Sun and the Moon are there. Our Sri Vijayadasaru has said :

Kailaasa Vaasa Goureesh Eesha
Taila Dhaareyante Manasu Kodu  Hariyalli Shambho

Is highly significance.

Sri Kshetra Bichali is very near to Manchali. The birth place of  Sri Appanacharyaru and the Karya Kshetra. Japadakatti very holy and Sacred, it was the Open University during the days of Sri Appanacharyaru  before 320 years. Sri Appanacharya, a great scholar, Chaturveda  was the Pofessor and the Vice Chancellor, who taught more than 200- 300 students at that time. Rudradevataradhane along with Pavamana and Mannuysukta Japa and Homa is continued even to this day in Bichali.

Sri SriMadacharya Peetha’s fifth Yativarenya Sri Akshobhyateertharu the Guru of our great Sri MatJaiteertha Teekakrutpaadaru is believed as Rudramsharu. Again our  12th.pontiff Sri Jitamitrateertharu is the native of Agnihal on the bank of the sangama of Bheema and Krishna is also believed as Rudramsharu. A Jangama student was daily crossing the Sangama and attending the classes of Sri Jitamitrateertharu. One day there was spate, even then Jangama swam and reached his Guru and listened the class on that day. It was highly impossible to swim at that moment. That Jangama was none but Rudradeva.

Once Sri Susheelendrateertharu the 34th. Pontiff of our Rayara Mutt - Vidya Mutt Visited Agnihal - Jitamitra Gadde. At that time a Bairaagi came there and after a while he entered a temple of Shiva. Swamiji followed him and entered the temple but could not see that Bairaagi. He disappeared in the temple itself.

That Bairaagi is none but Rudramsha  Sri Jitamitrateertharu. So World Devotees Harisarvottama and Vayujeevottama followers are not against Rudradevaru. Vaisahnavas are the Araadhakas of Rudradevaru. Our Mantralaya Rayaru has thus given  a unique place to Shesha Garuda and Rudradevaru and is doing our Uddhara in all the 365 days and 24 hours.

What more we require in life ? We are bent with gratitude to our Mantralaya Yatiraat Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru.
