Meaning

Sri Manchalemma asked Rayaru Oh! My child why are you calling me. When  my lord Sri Hari  himself came from the pillar to protect you and prove Sri Hari Sarvatra   and Harisarvottama, what else I have to do for you? Tell me. Then Rayaru said Oh! Divine mother Manchalemma I wish to stay here for a long time and engage in the Japa of Sri Hari for Seven hundred years at the Yaaga Bhoomi of Sri Prahladarajaru as per the will and wish of Sri Hari. Please provide your kind shelter  and care in Mantralaya.. So Manchalemma kindly allow me for the same.

Praised her with Vedokta Mantras.  Kind Manchalemma with joy and laughter said : Gururaya I am your Kuladevata during Prahlada Avatara. As per the order of Sri Hari - Sri MoolaRama you hae chosen the best place.All the way for the sake of this left the Kaveri bank of Kumbhakonam and came to Manchali - Mantralaya situated on the bank of the Sacred Tungabhadra. My child I am highly pleased with you saying this Manchalemma offered Pratyaksha  Darshana of  :

Sri Annapoorneshwari
Sri Saraswati   and
Sri Laxmi.

Further Manchalemma said  I have Blessed you whole heartedly. What ever you wish to give to the devotees you give I will provide everything,  Bless you in all respects. Do not worry I will be at the entrance of your Mutt Praakara. So Rayaru took the assurance and the permission  of  Manchalemma before entering the Brindavana. Sri Rayaru’s greatest devotee our Bichali Sri Appanacharyaru knows all this detail,  thus said in the 13th. Shloka of  Sri Raghavendra Gurustotra :

Aparokshee  Kruta Shreeshaha Samupekshita Bhaavajaha
Apekshita Pradaataanyo Raghavendraan Na Vidyate.

Sri Raghavendrateertharu said to Manchalemma the devotees coming for Mantralaya will  first take your Darshana and then only they have to come to me. First, Pooja, Alankara, Seva, Naivedya will be yours as you are my Kuladevata since a long long time. So Manchalemma the Anaadi Murty goddess of Manchali - Mantralaya. Rayaru offered due respect and regard to Daivee Shakti Devi.

From that day it  has continued even to to this day. H.H.Sri Suyameendrateertharu further arranged the utsavas and the poojas in a systematic way on special festivals of Navaratri, Shraavana maasa etc. It is heartening to know thatjust like our Gururayaru H.H.Sri Suyameendrateertharu also was Blessed by Manchalemma as she came in the dream and Blessed and offered shelter to stay in Mantralaya Sri Suyameendrateertharu’s Brindavana is in Mantralaya.

The most amazing Miracle I like to share with you all is that though the flood has touched and drowned the highest buildings in Mantralaya, the Punya Vigraha of Devi Sri Manchalemma is untouched by the flood. Witnessed by all after opening the door. So Bhaktanugraha Premi Sri Raghavendrateertha’s Devi Manchalemma is really great. Though the  flood water has washed away houses and buildings in Mantralaya and Bichali, the divine sanctums are quite safe not moved a single inch here and there. Saved the lives of the Sanakadi Satvika Sajjanas. Property lost we can again rebuilt and acquire. The  Auspicious Sacred Yard of Tungabhadra( Mangalada Tungeyangala) was full of water only ferrying was done at that day. But the devotees of Rayaru are quite safe. Rayaru Protected  in a miraculous way and proved that he is :Sri Ramaaradhaka Punya Murty Sri Raghavendrateertha  Yativarenya Gurusarvabhouma Bhakta Vatsala Karuna Samudra Sri Mantralaya Gururaya.

It is clearly described that as per the geographical features  our Mantralaya is not at an elevated place, some what down and low lying area. So knowing all this Diwan Venkanna constructed the Mantralaya Archakas houses, Kulaswami Temple on a  very high place above the level of River Tungabhadra. We have to appreciate the foresight of Diwan Venkanna about 340 years back.  Today we call it as old Mantralaya . New extensions have come up and that is all not upto the level of old Mantralaya.

Though the flood has entered the praakaara the great grand father and the great grand son Sri Raghavendrateertharu and Sri Vadeendrateertharu are safe, not a single divine idol moved there. They are in the original style in original place. See the Siddhi and the Sanctity. Tungamma offered due respects with her mere touch to the Sacred Brindavanas.

Dear world devotees, now at this juncture I remember the days of Sri Ibharamapura Appa. At that  time H.H.Sri Sudharmendrateertharu was the Peethhadhipati. Sri Anandadasaru  of Surpur was in Panchamukhi. For some Anushthhaana for several days. One day he immediately remembered that tomorrow is Shraavana Bahula Dwiteeya. Every year Surpur Anandadasaru attended the Aradhana of Rayaru without fail. So came to the bank of the river Tungabhadra and asked the boatman to take him to Mantralaya. But owing to the rainy season Tungabhadra was overflowing with spate. The boats man refused to cross the river. After a long pressure the boatman agreed to go. But as they moved on water level went on increasing speedily. Anandadasaru lost all the hopes and said today Jalasamaadhi will take place. Completely closed the eyes as he cannot see the fury of the water.

At that time the  Great Grandfather and the Great Grandson Sri Rayaru and Sri Vadeendrateertharu  saved Anandadasaru  in person pulling the boat from the river. First tied and then pulled both the Yatisarvabhoumas.

Here in Mantralaya the Saanidhya of Sri Hari is more. All are worshipped and accept the worship happily. So that much of Siddhi we find in Mantralaya and Bichali. Though the wrath of Varunadeva caused the damage and heavy loss, Rayaru and Appanacharyaru will get it rebuilt and regain the whole thing.

Sri Vijayadasaru has described in the Suladis that  there are no limitations in  Mantralaya. Everything is abundant by Rayaru as very dear to Sri Hari Vayu and Guru. We find the Pathhana of  Bichali Appanacharya Gurustotra every where by all and echoing in Mantralaya. Satvikas are engaged in Seva Pradakshina, Urulu Seva, Hejje Namaskara and Japa. All are found busy in the devotional schedule with pleasure.
 

So Dear world Devotees soon we will have the old grandeur of Mantralaya and Bhikshaalaya. Sri Raghavendrateertha Gursarvabhoumaru will restore everything and provide to the Devotees. As we strongly believe  and follow :
