Background

The formula of Bhakti by our great Haridasas and our Sri Raghavendrateertha Yatiraat in Udupi before Churner Sri Krishna  in the Garbhaalaya and the divine ecstasy are described  here in Mantralaya(301).
 
 

Meaning

Bhakti Beku Shakti Beku
Yukti Beku Munde Muktiya Bayasuvage

Bhakti - Devotion, Shakti - Strength, Yukti - the easy proper channel to acquire Mukti. In all these three Bhakti is the most important thing to attain the Anugraha of Sri Hari Vayu Gurugalu. Along with Bhakti Shakti - Strength is also essential to take the holy dip in the river, well, stream etc.,to indulge in the Seva, Pradakshina, Namaskara,Vruta,Niyama and Upavaasa Shakti - Strength is most desired. Yukti - the easy way to attain the Anugraha  of Sri Hari Vayu Guru. These three steps are very important, our Dasas have pondered  and described the most important Sutra to all of us.

Apart of Paanditya - Gnyana they have emphasized the importance Bhakti. Gnyana without Bhakti, it means bare knowledge is not at all useful to attain the Anugraha of  our Sri Hari Vayu Guru. So Devotion ,strength, and easy proper channel are thought by our Dasas. To attain the affection of Sri Hari, able Yogya Guru is needed. We have to surrender completely. Dear devotees what an amount of  care and concern to the Manukula our Dasas had in their hearts. Haridasas loved the society at its highest and practically did seva through music and literature, Padas,suladis etc. Dasas have given priority to Guru. We have to find a Guru satisfy him with our seva and learn Sachchhastra and what all good and noble things are with him. We are fortunate to get this simple formula Sutra. We are highly grateful and express our gratitude to our Dasas. Bhakti can attain any thing. Nothing is impossible, everything is possible.

We have to find an able teacher Yogya Guru. Let us surrender with devotion to Mantralaya Rayaru. Our Sri Shreedavithalaru has said:

Sri Raghavendra GuruRayara Sevisiro
Neeva Soukhyadi Jeevisiro

Let us perform the Seva of our Mantralaya Rayaru  and enjoy the shelter of Kalpavruksha and Kamdhenu. All our desired things will be fulfilled without any delay. As our Rayaru : Bhajataam Kalpavrukshaaya Namataam Kamadhenave

Our Yatiraat Sri GuruRayaru is an extraordinary Saint. We call GuruRayaru :

Bhaktavatsala Karuna Samudra Mantralaya Vidya Matha Yativarenya
Bhuvi Japtuhu Tava Sankeertanam Sadaa Sarvadaa

Rayara Devotees are abundant, endless like ocean, Ananta as Saagara.Because Rayaru : Bhaktaanugraha Premi Sarvatra Sarva Karyeshu Jaya Pradaataa.

Devotees who have completely surrendered with strong faith and belief are always protected by Rayaru.So the world devotees pray constantly and continuosly :

Engage and indulge in the Naama Sankeertana of Sri Raghavendrateertharu. Our Bichali Sri Appanacharyaru has said in the 21st.shloka of Sri Raghavendra Gurustotra:

Sarvaabheeshthaarthha Siddhyartham Namaskaram Karomyaham
TavaSankeertanam VedaShastraathhaGnyanaSiddhaye

Devotees pronouncing the name of Rayaru will get the punya of knowing the meaning and the knowledge of all the Vedas and Shastras and attain Siddhi. This is as true as the Sun is blazing in the sky. Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru's Divine Personality is such. So we all say Rayaru Sri Raamaraadhaka Punya Murty. Who has attained Saakshaatkaara in Udupi of  Sri Krishna that too in the Garbhaalaya of Churner Sri Krishna.

One day in Udupi Rayaru  SriKrishnaDarshanaakaanshi  with complete involvement surrendered to Sri Krishna and immersed in Dhyaana, after closing the eyes  soon Rayaru attained  Samadhi sthiti. At that time Lord Sri Krishna walked before Rayaru hither and thither with a smile, played the flute melodiously and Sri Swami started dancing and completely drew the attention of Rayaru, felt extremely happy and that is beyond the  reach of our description. Suddenly this Anusandhaana, Samadhi sthiti lost .Rayaru tried his level best through Anusandhaana to bring  back the image of Sri Krishna to his heart  but could not? Immediately Rayaru opened the eyes, Rayaru was in the  Garbhaalaya of Sri Krishna Temple.

There appeared a tremendous light, very soothing,pleasing, just like the Moonlight. Tejahapunja Prakasha. The complete Garbhaalaya was full of  light and the Churner Sri Krishna is standing there amidst the abundant glittering light. Added to this Rayaru listening the sound of Ghall Ghalir Ghall Ghalir sound of Gejje, and also the sweet  melody of flute, played by Sri Krishna. Our Sri GuruRayaru was listening very clearly that the musical fete is very near only a distance of  five feet. But not able to have the Darshana, see Swami Sri Krishna. At this juncture Rayaru went on praying to Sri Krishna Paramatma. Swami why are you playing the game of hide and seek. I am clearly listening everything but not able to see, Till today you were dwelling in the temple of my heart , when ever I requested to you, today that is also not taking place.

Swami  do you think that  my devotion towards you is not ripe?

Acted accordingly with a faith that " Tena Vinaa Trunamapi Na Chalati", I fully abide to the formula of " Naaham Kartaa Harihi Kartaa". The very existence of my life is by your name NaamaSmarane. From Dwaraka you came safe in Gopichandana from all the way to Udupi and Sri Anandateertharu is highly fortunate to get you and made available to the devotees of the world by the pratishthhaapana in Udupi. You are my Lord, completely surrendered - AtmaSamarpane to you only,  please do my Uddhaara.

In Bhagavadgita you have told to Arjuna:

Tvameva Sharanam Gachchha Sarva Bhaavena Bhaarata
TatPrasaadaat Paraam Shantim Sthhaanam Praapyasi Shaashwatam

Surrender to me with all devotion, you will get everything permanently.

I cannot understand why are you testing me so much, questioning my devotional ecstasy, Rayaru reached the climax of ecstasy, rolling tears from his eyes became too emotional and spontaneously the song - pada from the Mukhaaravinda of Rayaru in Kannada. Veena was also there by the side of Rayaru, took the veena on the lap and starting singing in Bhairavi. Sri Raghavendrateertharu's poorvashrama family was well versed and efficient in music and Veena. Proficiency in all the sixty four kalas. It is quite heartening to know that many pontiffs of our Rayara Mutt - Vidya Mutt - Mantralaya Mutt were all efficient in all the fields of knowledge and were greatly Blessed by Sri Sharada Maata the Goddess of Learning.

Devotional feelings and thoughts inspired Rayaru to compose the following song spontaneously means Ashukavitva.

This is the famous and the most beautiful devotional creation of our Sri Raghavendrateertharu in Kannada.Rayaru's mother tongue Saurashtra Marathi. Knew all the languages : Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and English also as Rayaru talked with Sir Thomas Munro in English.
