Meaning

Our Punya Bhoomi Bharata Desha we are highly fortunate to have amidst us the four Brahma Roopa of Sri Hari in the most impressive and attractive form:
 

• (1) Our Udupi Sri Krishna Paramatma is Anna Brahma
• (2) Tirumale Sri Srinivasa is Kaanchana Brahma
• (3) Pandharapura Sri Vithala is Naada Brahma
• (4) Gadugina Sri VeeraNarayanadevaru is Darshana Brahma.

Tirumale Sri Srinivasadevaru is Kaanchana Brahma likes accepting gifts, wealth, gold and silver from the devotees.

Pandharapura Sri Vithaladevaru is Naada Brahma. Happy to listen the songs,bhajans from the devotees. So devotees undertaking Yatra during Aashaadha Maasa will go to Pandharapur singing songs and performing bhajans.This is very dear to Sri Hari Vithala. In Karnataka Gadag some two thousand years back came from Badari and settled in Gadag. It is famous as Dakshina Badari.  Those devotees who are unable to go Badari, for them Gadugina Sri VeeraNarayana is Badri Narayanadevaru. I will describe Darshana Brahma in detail.

Sri VeeraNarayana is very powerful. Those who go to Tirumala and owing to the heavy rush if they do not get Darshana in Tirumala, Lord Srinivasadevaru will appear in the dreams of the devotees  said and says do not get  upset, go to Gadag have Darshana of  Sri VeeraNarayana you will be Blessed. So mere Darshana of Swami will give phala our desired things will be fulfilled. Very easily we can have the Darshana of VeeraNarayana. Actually when we enter the Garbhaalaya of Sri VeeraNarayana in Gadag we feel that we are at the Sanctum of Tirumala Swami, many devotees have experienced the same thing. So Darshana Brahma Sri VeeraNarayana in Gadag is the main attraction of Gadag. The Archakas, the Paarupatyadars have maintained well. Daily Pooja, Alankara,Naivedya of Swami with great zeal and devotion will be performed here.

Mahakavi - a great poet of Kannada Kumaravyasa brought name and fame to Gadag. Koliwada is village near Gadag. Kumaravyasa’s name was Narayanappa, always living in Gadag, famous Gadugina Narayanappa. A great devotee of  Sri VeeraNarayana. He was Blessed by Sri Ashwathamacharya, Ashwathamacharya son of Sri Dronacharya guru of Pandavas and Kouravas is chiranjeevi. Even to this day he is alive. Inshort the extra ordinary imaginative power chetana Gadugina Narayanappa after taking a holy dip in the well of the VeeraNarayana Temple, with wet clothes only it means with all sanctity he used to sit at a pillar of the temple and wrote Bhaarata Gadugina Bhaarata. Fully Blessed by Sri VeeraNarayana - Vedavyasaru, so called him as Kumaravyasa son of Vyasaru. The famous work is well known as Kumaravyasa Bhaarata.Devotees visiting this temple in Gadag, they with honour humbly perform the Saashtaanga Namaskara to the pillar of Kumaravyasa and pay their respect  and regard to this great personality.So we are proud of this soil,water and air  of Narayanappa, Gadag and Sri VeeraNarayanadevaru. It is quite interesting to know that though  Kumaravyasa was a great poet Mahakavi, he has humbly said Sri VeeraNarayana is the poet and he is only copier - writer. The world will never find such a great poet. Na Bhooto Na Bhavishyati. There was never such a poet and in future we will never find such a great poet.

The temple is quite spacious in accordance with our sanaatana structures. Garudagamba is in front of Swami. We have take right turn a little in the temple that will lead to the temple of Sri Narasimhadevaru. During the Sanchara of Gadag Rayaru visited this famous temple and also Sri Narasimhadevaru. Immediately the  rememberances and the remniscenes of Prahlada Avatara came to his heart and mind. Fully became emotional and devotional, Anandashru rolled from his eyes on the cheeks. Such a Jagruta is our Swami at this sanctum. You are so kind Lord Sri Hari, even rushi munis struggle day and night to have your Darshana, you came out from the pillar,easily gave Darshana to me and imparted Mukti to Dyatya Hiranyakshyapu. I am lucky and fortunate by your Divine Darshana. Rayaru is none but the Avatara of Sri Prahlada - Baahleeka - vyasarajaru.

After the Brindavana Pravesha of Rayaru in Mantralaya Ibharampura Appa the greatest devotee of Rayaru had been to Gadag at the request of the devotees. A staunch disciple, dear shishya Sri Yogi Narayanacharya was in Gadag only. Appa told that Mruttika Brindavana of Rayaru is to be installed in front of Sri Narasimhadevaru adjacent to the temple of Sri VeeraNarayana in that compound and campus only. Sri Yogi Narayanacharya was a sculpture, a shilpi  he himself carved and made the Brindavana from his own hands with all sanctity. By walk brought the Moola Mruttika placing the Mruttika on his head from Mantralaya to Gadag. The Desai of Gadag requested Appa to inaugurate and complete the pratishthhaapana. The devotees of Rayara Mutt are in plenty, They all became quite happy. Sri Ibharampura’s Appa did the same. So the sannidhaana of Rayaru is at its maximum as Rayaru remembered the Prahlada Avatara.

Our Uttanoor Sri Gopaladasaru has said :

Narahari Rama Krishna Vedavyasa two pairs of Sri Hari and four idols.

So today we find on the top of the Rayara Brindavana The idols of Narasimhadevaru, Rama Krishna and Vedavyasa, Vayudevaru and all the sacred Yatis sannidhaana is in Mantralaya Rayara Brindavana. When ever we go to visit any Brindavana of Rayaru we have to follow Anusandhaana that we are standing in Front of Rayara Brindavana in Mantralaya and on the bank of the sacred Tungabhadra river - Ekshila Brindavana in Bichali Japadakatti. This much of Anusandhaana feeling is enough for the real devotee to acquire the Blessings of our Sri Raghavendrateertharu and Appanacharyaru.
