Background

The unforgettable and the most valuable  service rendered to the SRS Mutt in restoring the Mutt's property, the Divine power, the Anugraha of our Rayaru are described  here in Mantralaya(296).
 

Meaning

When Rayaru was about enter the Brindavana in Mantralaya Sri Srinivasacharya was a child  of one and half year old only. The most sacred family continued the Yati parampara of our Rayara Mutt is of great importance and full of sanctity. Rayaru's poorvashrama's grandson Sri Purushottamacharya - son of Sri Laxminarayanacharya. In the poorvashrama Rayaru had only one son Sri Laxminarayanacharya.

Once Sri Purushottamacharya's wife it means poorvashrama's grandson's wife is grand daughter to Rayaru, she was pregnant, saw Rayaru and smiled, Rayaru  said why are  you laughing looking at me, you will give birth to  a son and he will be like me  and become like me only.  That child is none but : Sri Srinivasacharya  - Sri Vaadeendrateertharu.

Direct Vamshasthha of GuruRayaru Goutama Gotra Beegamudre family, Shaashtheeka Vamsha.Scolarly divine character shined equal to  our GuruRayaru. He was second to none in all the qualities of Yativarenya.Siddhi Chetana, Mahimapurnaru.

During the days of Sri Vaadeendrateertharu political anarchy prevailed every where. The kings, subordinates, Desai, Deshpande, Jahagirdars did not have any co-ordination nor compilation of accounts regarding the gifts donated etc. The SRSMutt was in a position to loose all what all Rayaru received. So right from Tanjore,Madhurai,Vellore to Bijapur and Adoni Sri Vaadeendrateertharu actively traveled regained and required and presented the documents. Even Mantralaya lands were about to leave from the hands of our Mutt. Sri Vaadeendrateertharu saved all the property and maintained all the records and the documents in a decent way. Thus gained financial stability of our Rayara Mutt. This credit goes to Sri Vaadeendrateertharu.

It is very important to know that while following the sacred Yati Dharma, Pooja, Paatha, Pravachana,Adhyayana Adhyapana, Bhakta's Uddhaara and Granthha Rachana Sri Vaadeendrateertharu succeeded in protecting the property of our Sri Vidya Mutt.

A scholar of high caliber in Dwaita,Vedanta. In those days no one came forward to Vaada - Vivaada.A PROFOUND SCHOLAR OF ACHARYA PHILOSOPHY proved worthy of his name SRI VAADEENDRATEERTHARU. With all these extra-ordinary qualities Sri Vaadeendrateertharu is  in  the line of Sri Raghavendrateertharu. The 22nd. Pontiff performed the pooja of Sri MoolaRamadevaru for 22 Years. During this period the administration of the Mutt geared up properly.

The Granthha Rachana of Sri Vaadeendrateertharu is a record and miracle in the history of our Rayara Mutt. The following are the works of Sri Vaadeendrateertharu:

• (5) Sri GuruGunaStavana
• (6) NyaayaduraktiShiksha( this has been composed during poorvashrama.

These five Granthhas are of great importance. They have upheld the real inner heart of Rayaru and the values of Dwaita philosophy.

Sri Vaadeendrateertharu after composing Gurugunastavana, with devotion placed the Granthha in front of Rayara Brindavana in Mantralaya. Rayaru felt extremely happy towards  the points described in Gurugunastavana. All the devotees who were present have witnessed that After placing the book the Brindavana shook for a while with great sound. How great our Sri Vaadeendrateertharu was! Got the approval of Rayaru.

Sri Raghavendrateertharu felt happy to read this shloka. While Sri Vaadeendrateertharu was in Mantralaya owing to the strain became ill. Decided to  stay in Mantralaya for ever. Sri Vaadeendrateertharu said Diwan Venkanna Panth has already made a Brindavana. Rayaru has said let it be for the coming Yatis and got a separate one - special stone from Madhavara, as Sri Ramachandradeva and Laxmana have sat on that holy stone.

So the Brindavana of Sri Vaadeendrateertharu is equal in height, shape and size. Very near to Rayaru. In the history of our Rayara Mutt Sri Vaadeendrateertharu was the first pontiff to have the Brindavana in Mantralaya at the sanctum of Rayaru. Very near to Rayaru itself shows the greatness of Sri Vaadeendrateertharu. The world has come to know the divine power of Sri Vaadeendrateertharu.

Even to this day I remember the wordings of SIXTY YEARS BACK of  Sri Vajendracharya Gunjalli  and his father Sri Srinivasacharya  Gunjalli the Archakas of Sri Vaadeendrateertharu in Mantralaya. Gave me handful of Mantrakshate and said you will be always victorious by this Mantrakshate.I feel and think even to this day that I am Blessed by Sri Raghavendrateertharu and Sri Vaadeendrateertharu on the sacred  bank of the sacred Tungabhadra.
