Sri Ramachandrateertharu was the Guru of our Sri Vibudhendrateertharu, first received the sanyasa ashrama by Sri Ramachandrateertharu, the pioneer of our Vidya Mutt. Popular as Mantralaya Sri Raghavendraswami Mutt - Rayara Mutt.7
The grandeur of welcome in Udupi to Rayaru
and the importance of the Divine idol of Lord Sri Krishna are described
in Mantralaya(290).
The Jayakaara of Udupi reached the sky. The Rathha Beedi was full devotees, gathered every where to take the Divya Darshana of our divine Rayaru. Women were holding Arati in their hands, some others were throwing Laaja and pushpa(flowers Mandakki - churmuri), showered abundantly to the satisfaction of their hearts. The pallakki came to the direction of Sri Krishna Temple with all dignitaries and devotees. The Paryaaya Swamiji of Sode welcomed with a smile and amazed to see the divine personality of Sri Raghavendrateertharu. The joy and the happiness of the people of Udupi knew no bonds. They openly said that their life became meaningful saarthaka by taking the Janma in Madhwa Mata. Paryaaya swamiji taking our Rayaru to the temple of Sri Krishna was really a noble scene. Abundant satvikas were gathered at the Dwaara - the doors of the main temple. They all said in one voice that the Divine Chetana had come from heaven in the form of Yati Vesha for our Uddhaara and pronounced with devotion :
Om Namo Sri Raghavendra Om Namo Sri GuruRaghavendra.
Acharya Priya Vidya Matha Yativarenya Sri Sudheendra Varaputra
Karunaalu GuruRaghavendra
and immersed in the joy and forgot for a while. The devotees of Udupi were dancing with ecstasy. Several Haridasas, satvikas, astikas indulged in Bhajan with all soothing musical instruments Sri Raghavendrateertharu after entering the temple Rayru thrilled by the Divya Roopa Darshana of Sri Krishna. Rayaru memory went back and Said oh! Where is Udupi ? where is Dwaraka? You have come a long way for the sake of us.
Sri Krishna Paramaatma the king of Dwaraka always protecting his devotees and satisfactorily done the work Dushta Shikshaa Shishta Paripaalana Sri Krishna had a soft corner to his classmate friend Sudama.Sudama with great repentance and devotion offered a handful of Avalakki to Sri Krishna, tied in a cloth, given by his wife, came walking to Dwaraka and presented to Sri Krishna. Krishna became extremely happy to the bhakti of Sudama, did not say a single word, though he knew fully very well. On the contrary enquired about the welfare of his family members. Thus Blessed and sent to his place. Sudama could not recognise his house. His house was almost like Sri Krishnas house, Sudams wife welcomed. By the Darshana Punya of Sri Krishna, this is the prosperity, wealth and the progress we got in our life.
One day Devaki who has given birth to Sri Krishna told that by several reasons she could not witness the childhood play(BaalaLeela) of her Sri Krishna. Yashoda and Nanda of Gokula are lucky and fortunate, they have seen and enjoyed. I aspire and desire to see your BaalaLeela said Devakidevi. Sri Krishna said alright, one day while she was churning the curd with a churner (Kadagolu), Lord Krishna appeared in Baala Roopa, took all the butter of the pot, spilled the whole thing, while eating the butter, his face and body covered with butter. Devaki felt extremely happy to see this and forgot herself to see the most attractive BaalaRoopa. Krishna at that time took out the churner - Kadagolu from his mother Devaki and went away. Rukminidevi was present at that time. She was overwhelmed to see that and impressed to see the Lord Krishna with Churner - Kadagolu. She called Vishwakarma and gave a saligrama to prepare the idol of Sri Krishna - BaalaKrishna with churner and she wants to worship daily. As per the order and the will and wish of Rukminidevi the vishwakarma prepared and handed over to Rukminidevi. She daily performed the pooja with great devotion.
At the concluding of Krishnavataara Arjuna - Paartha - Madhyama Pandava took the idol of Sri Krishna holding the churner and safely preserved in the Rukminivana in a big pit of Gopichandana. When Kaliyuga started a big ship started from Dwaraka to Udupi.
One day Sri Madhwacharyaru after the holy Samudra Snaana, Aahneeka, Anushthhaana, Japa, preaching the Dwaita philosophy to his shishyas engaged himself in the composition of DWADASHASTOTRA. Through his Divine knowledge and Aparokshagnyana our Acharyaru came to know that Sri Krishna is coming from Dwaraka to Udupi. The ship which was coming to Malpe immediately held up and stranded in the sea where water was not deep. Immediately Sri Madhwacharyaru threw his Kaashaaya Vastra from his shoulder, reached the ship, the attendants quickly tied to the ship. Acharya was actually pulling the ship along with the other end of Kaashaaya Vastra. Luckily wind also helped favourably.Sri Vayudevaru helped to Sri Madacharyaru who is the Avatara of Vayuputra.
The owner of the ship felt happy and expressed his deep sense of gratitude and asked Acharya that the ship is coming from Dwaraka. Several Valuable things are in the ship, you can take what ever you want! Sri Madhwacharyaru entered the ship did not take any valuable gold, silver nor ornaments but asked the owner of the ship to hand over a big of log of Gopichandana, like that there were other logs also were there to balance the ship of the floor. Owner agreed and gave that log of Gopichandana to Acharyaru. The owner of the ship was amazed to see the vairaagya of Sri Madhwacharyaru.
Sri Madhwacharyaru asked his shishyas to carry that log to Udupi. Meanwhile on the way the log fell down in the middle on a rock and the log became two. This place is very famous as Vadabhaandeshwara. Now Sri Krishna clearly visible, Acharyaru took out the idol with devotion, chanting the Just composed Dwadashastotra came to the Udupi and entered the Mutt. Asked his shishyas to clean the Sri Krishna idol. They did the same. Then Sri Anandateertha Bhagavatpaadacharyaru kept the idol in the water for two weeks and performed the pratishthhaapana of Churner Bala Krishna - Kadagola Krishna in Udupi with all the rituals, Homa, Havana and Annasantarpane on a grand scale. The pooja of Lord Sri Krishna started in Udupi from that day.
All this flashed to the inward eye of our
our Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurusarvabhoumaru after getting the first
Darshana of Sri Krishna at the Dwaara. Then the Sode swamiji took inside
the Garbhaalaya of Sri Krishna in Udupi.
