Sri Gandha Lepana to Sri Hari Vayu Guru and
the special Alankara, Pooja in Mantralaya and Bhikshalaya are described
in Mantralaya(289)-AkshayatrateeyaSpecial
On the day of Akshayatrateeya in Hampi on the bank of the sacred Tungabhadra - Chakrateertha special pooja to our Sri Yantroddharakaswami and also to all the Yatis of Anegundi Navavrundavana.Sanctum of our Madhwa Yatis, situated at the abode of Kishkindha. Varahaja Tata Vaasa Sri GuruRaghavendra's Mantralaya we find unusual rush of devotees on this day of Akshayatrateeya.Sri Gandha Lepana to our Bhavya Divya Neela Brindavana Mandira including Sri Praanadevaru and Sri Rudradevaru in front of Rayaru and to the Brindavanas of:
Sri Vadeendrateertharu,SriSudharmendrateertharu,
Sri Suvrateendrateertharu, Sri Suyameendrateertharu,
Sri Sujayeendrateertharu and now to Sri Sushameendrateertharu
Abundant sandal wood paste will be extracted and mixed with several soothing fine fragrance ingridients and thus Sri Gandha Lepana. By Gandha Lepana we feel and say that to provide cooling effect we have done, but we will be acquiring Moksha Gnyana by this Gandha Lepana. In almost all the Mruttika Brindavanas of Rayaru in all the places run by SRS Mutt will have Sri Gandha Lepana without fail on this day. Acharya Tatva Pratishthaapaka GuruRayaru's Gandha full of holy and Siddhi in Mantralaya.
The pleasant soothing fragrance of Sri Gandha Lepana in Mantralaya inside and outside the Garbhalaya is really heart touching. We will be in the realm of devotion and the Anugraha of Rayaru. On this Sunny day though we are crawling through this high temperature the sacred forceful flow of Tungabhadra is providing comfort and relief to the devotees in Mantralaya. The cold sweet water of Tungabhdra is a pleasure to drink during this time. So the saying:
Krishna Snaana Tunga Paana. Is perfectly right.
On the day of Akshayatrateeya Chaitra Gowri Pooja of complete one month will come to conclude.Muttaideyes will be invited for Arisina Kumkuma Hoo Veelya. Offerings of wet dal(Bele kosambari),Lemon juice(Paanaka). Witnessed all in Mantralaya our greatest devotee Bichali Sri Appanacharyaru has said Sri Raghavendra Mangalashtaka:
RangottungaTarangaMangalakaraSriTungabhadraTata
PratyasthhaDwijaPungavaalayaLasanMantralayakhyapure
NavyendropalaNeelaBhavyakaraSadBrindavanantargataha
SriMatSadguruRaghavendraYatiraatKuryaatDhruvamMangalam
The most auspicious Mantralaya is on the bank of the forceful sacred Tungabhadra river. The most able and noble Satvikas Sajjanas and Brahmins are residing in Mantralaya. Our Sri GuruRaghavendrateertharu is sitting inside the Bhavya Neela Brindavana and protecting us and always Blessing the good to us.
On this day of Akshatrateeya only we celebrate Sri Parashurama Jayanti:
Adyo Ramo Jaamadagnyaha KshyatriyaanaamKulaantakaha
ParashwadharodaataaMaatrahaa MaatraJeevakaha
Chanting this Mantra we have to perform the pooja of Sri Vishnu and Aavaahana(invite) Sri Parashurama, perform pooja and also SriGandha Lepana.
In Bhikshalaya - Bichali before the Sacred Gandha Lepana Alankara hundred and eight litres milk Ksheeraabhisheka and Panchamruta Abhisheka will be to the Ek Shila Brindavana situated on the Japadakatti adjacent to Tungabhadra river. Gandha Lepana Alankara will be to Sri Sripadarajaru pratishthhaapita Sri Narasimhadevaru,Sri Jitamitra pratishthhaapita Sri Sheshadevaru,Sri Vyasaraja pratishthhaapita Sri Praanadevaru, Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra pratishthhaapita Sri Praanadevaru. On a grand scale the holy Alankara - special pooja - Ashtottara pathana etc. are being undertaken meticulously. The big Neem tree's wide and thick shadow at the Japadkatti is quite pleasing. The flow of the river is a sort of Divine Lullaby to welcome the devotees.
The Sunrise and the Sunset, the cows and calves affectionate shouting, the birds sweet song, the Vamshasthha of Bichali Sri Appanacharya, Sri Badadha Ramacharya detailing the importance of Japadakatti and the sacred history of Sri Raghavendrateertharu of Mantralaya will be simply immersed in the days of our GuruRayaru. We can call our Vamshasthha today as our Abhinava Narayanacharya( the poorvashrama nephew of our Rayaru and the author of Sri Raghavendra Vijaya). With all this heritage and legacy I feel and say to our devotees that Bichali is like Badari and Kasi to Mantralaya devotees.
Whatever good things we do on this day will become abundant Akshaya- Samruddhi, So lot of importance is given to Akshayatrateeya. By Gandha Lepana we acquire Moksha Gnyana. Next day morning the SriGandha will be collected at the time of Nirmaalya and will be distributed to the devotees. Vamshasthha Sri Ramacharya had given last year that SriGandha as a Prasada still I am having and it will be added to this year's SriGandha.
SriGandha Lepana is the Akshaya Tavanidhi. Le the lives of our Mantralaya devotees blossom and attain progress and prosperity:
