Background

The importance of Pampakshetra, Hanuma Jayanti Celebrations at Hampi Chakrateertha Yantroddhara Praanadevaru,Panchamukhi,Bichali and Mantralaya are described in Mantralaya(285).

Our Motherland  Bharata Khanda - Bharat is very dear and proud to us as our Sri Hanuma Sri Bheema and Sri Madhwa  - Sri Madhwacharyaru have born here Mantralaya Sri Vyasarajaru( Sri Raghavendrateertha's previous Janma) spent the most precious part of his life in Hampi - Vijayanagara Empire.

Emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya  loved, honoured, respected  and regarded  our noble Yati Sri Vyasarajaru and treated Sri Vyasaraja Yativarenyaru as the KulaGuru of our great Empire - Karantaka Samraajya. Saved the Emperor from the Kuha Yoga and thus protected the Samrat and the citizens of Vijayanagara. We always respect our Yatiraat and strongly believe that Sri Vyasarajaru is Trikaala Smaraneeyaru and Poojyaru. In his own way and style Sri Vyasarajaru upheld Sri Harisarvottama and Vayujeevottama. We are amazed to know the divine creativity and the unique style of propagating our Madhwa Philosophy. Sri Vyasarajaru  decided - made a Sankalpa to install 732 Sri Maruti  Vigraha Murty, not by sculpture but by superb devotion. He used to draw the sketch of Marutiraya by the ash - angaara of Pavamaana Homa, prayed whole heartedly the sketch will become permanent Praanadevara Murty.  After the Sketch Swamiji will perform Abhisheka, Alankara, pooja , Aawahaana  and through prayer Sri Vyasarajaru filled jeeva kale and Daivee kale. We call it as Praana Pratishthe. Such a great divine Chetana has rendered the mahopakaara to Manukula. The Siddhi of Sri Vyasarajaru is a world record.

On Chaitra Shukla Pournima Davanada Hunnime we are celebrating Hanuma Jayanti through out the world. Early in the morning on this day born to Sri Anjanadevi to do the Seva of Sri Hari - Sri Ramadevaru. For this noble cause took Avataara.Sri Ramachandra during the Vanavaasa of fourteen years stayed at the abode of Hampi and observed the most sacred  Chaaturmaasa at the sanctum of Hampi. Daily worshipped Sri Virupaksha  Rudradevaru with all devotion. Sri Hanumanthadevaru met Sri Ramachandra for the first time in Hampi on the bank of Tungabhadra Chakrateertha at the hilly rock of southern side, where we find today Sri Yantroddhaara Praanadevaru.So Sri Hanumanthadevaru appeared in the dream of Sri Vyasarajaru and asked him to do the pratishthaapana of Maruti on this hilly rock as a holy rememberance of that divine incident. As per the order Sri Vyasarajaru tried 12 times of different styles, but finally the present style  of Sri Hanuma desired and remained  there. Sri Vyasarajaru after drawing the sketch of Maruti drawn a Yantra by pure Bhakti and thus became famous as Sri Yantroddhara Praanadevaru.

We have no words to praise our Sri Vyasarajaru for this noble work. The whole world has expressed gratitude.On the day of Chitra Pournima at the sanctum of Hampi Tungabhadra Chakrateertha the utsava will take place. Devotees come from several parts of the country , simply stand in the line to take the Divya Darshana of Sri Hanumantha Devaru and participate in the Rathotsava and thus acquire the Anugraha of our  Yantroddhaaraka.

When we land on this sacred sanctum our memory goes back to the good old days of our Sri Raghavendrateertharu. Sri Sudheendrateertharu after the sworn in ceremony to Sri Venkatanathabhattaru as Sri Raghavendrateertharu stayed in Kumbhakonam together and they both started sanchara. During sanchara came to  Hampi. Sri Sudheendrateertharu  became ill and desired to go to Anegundi - Navavrundavana handed over the whole charge of the Vidya Mutt to Sri Raghavendrateertharu  including the pooja of Sri MoolaRamadeva.Lived only on Uposhana( only Teertha) and finally attained the Lotus feet of Sri Hari on Phaalguna Bahula Dwiteeya and entered Brindavana at the holy Navavrundavana.Hampi Chakrateertha Yantroddhaara Swami Sri Hanumadevaru, Devi  most auspicious day of Chitra Pournima the Rathotsava of Sri Virupakshadevaru in Hampi will be celebrated. So in Hampi today is the Festival Celebration. As already said Sri Vyasarajaru has done 732 pratishthaana of Sri  Hanumanthadevaru where ever he went through the length and the breadth of the country mostly on the bank of Tungabhadra. Hampi Yantroddhaara Hanumadevaru is the first of 732 Praanadevarus:

Sri Vyasarajaru himself has said in the  Popular Siddhi Stotra composed on Yantroddhaaraka. In the New Year after Chaitra Gowri Pooja, Sri RamaNavami the next arrival of Festival is Sri Hanuma Jayanti.

Sri Hanumanthadevaru is very poular to the Indians. There is no village without Sri Hanumappa - Sri Anjaneya Swami. Always protects the satvikas.Mantralaya Rayaru performed Anushthaana, Japa,Tapa at the sanctum of Panchamukhi in Gaanadhalu very near to Mantralaya and Bhikshaalaya.There also the festival will be on the day of Sri Hanuma Jayanti. In Mantralaya, Bichali Sri Hanuma Jayanti is performed on a grand scale. In Bichali Japadakatti  special pooja, Tottilotsava in the morning itself,Laksha Tulasi Archana, Anna Santarpane, Sri Pavamaana Homa  are performed to Sri Vyasaraja pratishthaapita and Sri Raghavendrateertha pratishthaapita Sri Praanadevaru. Devotees celebrate this festival and offer wet dal(Bele Kosambari) and Paanaka (lemon juice) to the satvikas as prasada of Sri Hanumanthadevaru.
