Agnyan Timra Chechedam Buddhi Sampat Pradaayakam
Vignyaana Vimalam Shaantam Vijayakhya
Gurum Bhaje
It is really a pravakaala to the devotees of Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu on this auspicious of Kaarteeka Deepotsava and the devotees are surrendered to Rayaru completely as said by Sri Sondur Sri Krishnavadhootaru, the greatest devotee of Rayaru, just like our Bichali Sri Appanacharyru:
Paapeenaam Agraganyoham Dayaloonaam Tvamagraneehi
Tvaam Vinaa Nahi Jaanena Anyam Mama Adya
Uddhaara Kaaranam
My name is top in the list of sinners and your name is top in the list of kind chetanas. I do not know anything except you and Gururaya you are the divine chetana to my Uddhaara.
Tanjore king Vijayaraghavanayak surrendered to Yatiraat Sri Raghavendrateertharu in this manner. Rayaru made all the preparations for the Poornaahuti to the Sacred Yaaga which was held for a period of one month. All the Gods and the Tatvaabhimani Gods were eagerly awaiting for that Poornaahuti. Every where in Tanjore people were simply in praise of Rayaru and in the appreciation of Yaaga.
At the dawn of the day Sri Raghavendrateertharu the seventeenth holy pontiff of Sri SriMadacharya Peetha Vidya Mutt of Rayara Mutt Kumbhakonam took the lead of Poornaahuti, the king and all the satvikas and sajjanas gathered were anxiously awaiting to witness the proceedings of Poornaahuti. All the materials things were offered to Agnideva by Rayaru with devotion. The flame of Yaaga became high and high, Rayaru fully immersed and fully involved in the Bhakti of Sri Hari.
Tanjore king Vijayaraghavanayak remembering the tremendous help of Rayaru offered the token of his satisfaction, a precious ornament made out of gold and diamond with gratitude. Rayaru accepted the offering. At that time immediately Rayaru got the darshana of Sri Parashuramadevaru in the raised flame of Yaaga and within no time Rayaru offered that precious ornament to Parashuramadevaru. The king was fainted, he gave it to Rayaru but Rayaru has thrown that ornament in the fire, he thought and was little bit uncomfortable and unhappy.King behaved like a layman, forgetting the immense benefit and miracle received by Rayaru. Rayaru came to know all that and prayed to Sri Parashuramadevaru again Sri Parashuramadevaru appeared and this time Rayaru took that ornament from the neck of Sri Parashuramadevaru putting his hand in the flame. After taking the ornament from the neck of the God Rayaru returned that ornament to king Vijayaraghavanayak and said Sri Hari has returned your ornament as a token of satisfaction of Yaaga. Yourself and your kingdom of Tanjore is highly blessed by Sri Hari. In future the famine will never previl in Tanjore. You will find everything in abundant. Akshaya Samruddhi Vruddhi Siddhi. Prosperity will reach at its highest. Saying all these kind words Rayaru Blessed the king.
The king now repented a lot for suspecting Rayaru and objected for putting the ornament in the flame in his heart and did not realise properly the divine power which Rayaru had. So he was in great repentance and wept like a child and surrendered to the sacred feet of Rayaru. Rayaru consoled the king and said that it is not your fault, who so ever was in his place would have thought of the same only. So the great Yatiraat Sri Raghavendrateertharu blessed the Tanjore, people and the king in order to root out and remove the famine , which was causing panic since 12 years Rayaru performed the Maha Yaaga for a period of one month continuosly with all sanctity and in accordance to Dharma Shaastra. Prayed Sri Hari to bestow the food grains. We have already seen how our Sri Raghavendrateertharu filled the empty Dhaanyaagaara and over flooded with food grains through Mantra Siddhi.
The gathered people were surprised to see when Rayaru returned the precious ornament from the Yaaga. The flames never hurted Rayaru even after putting the hand inside the fire while collecting and taking the ornament. Even the glittering, shining was the same as before though it was offered to Agni. Tanjore satvikas and the king shouted the Jayakaara which was heard to the Gods of the heaven. Rayaru did not say a single word to the king nor he became angry. On the contrary Blessed abundantly. Said this is all due to the Anugraha of Sri Hari.As Rayaru performed
Japa, Anushthaana, Tapa, Homa Tarpana, Maarjana, Bhojana
with great devotion to Sri Hari,Sri Mahalaxmi,Sri
Vayudevaru and to all the Tatvabhimani Gods. Sri Raghavendrateertharu
bestowed Samruddhi Sasya Samruddhi Jala Samruddhi and Dhaanya Samruddhi.
As a result of this even to this day we find prosperity in Tanjore.
