During Sri Prahlada Avatara Daitya Hirannyakashyapu with anger and vengeance towards Sri Hari became furious to know the pure Hari bhakti by stotra and description. So Hirannyakashyapu decided to kill his son Prahlada. In a silver glass he brought the deadly poison and gave it to his wife Kayaadhu call your son, take him on your loving lap and make him to drink that poison. See the fate of Kayaadhu, no woman in the world will feed poison to her children under any circumstances. Now she has to do that job. So we call the cruel and the wicked as Daityas. Hirannyakashyapu further ordered that all this should take place in his presence only. Kayaadhu worried and wept but in vain. Young Prahlada of only six years understood the whole situation said to his mother not to worry, Sri Hari is there to take care. It is all his will and wish. We have to act accordingly. Come on mom, please give the glass.
Taking the glass of poison in his hand Prahlada told to his mother that Sri Hari is there to protect and kill and drank happily. Our Sri Rudradevaru is Parama Vainshava, As per the Anugraha of Sri Hari the poison became Amruta. Rudradevaru at once took out the whole poison and did not affect Prahlada.
During Samudramanthana Rudradevaru accepted the poison and holded in his throat, so Rudradevaru is called Neelakantha and Vishakantha. Taking rest for a while on the Kaalakuta parvata in Anegundi the whole thing was digested. Rudradevaru took care of Prahlada from the poison by the order of Sri Hari. The mere touch of serpents will lead to death so venomous were the serpents in the dungeon of Hirannyakashyapu. There Sri Garudadeva took care of our Prahlada. Here also the same thing happened by the care of Rudradevaru as per the desire of Sri Narayana. Sri Narayana bhakta Prahladarajaru has fully understood the greatness and the mahima of Rudradevaru.
When Hirannyakashyapu attained the heavenly abode in the hands Sri Narasimhadevaru, Prahladarajaru took the charge of the entire kingdom and thus we find the replica of complete Rama Rajya. At that time Sri Prahladadevaru went on worshipping the black stone Shivalinga shape Rudradevaru. Aparokshagnyani Parama Karunaalu Sri Raghavendrateertharu knew his avatara and expressed the gratitude towards Rudradevaru in Manchali. Knowing all this the great Chetana Gururayaru came all the way from Kumbhkonam to Adoni and gladly accepted the hospitality of Diwan Venkanna and Nawab Siddi Masoodkhan. Rayaru asked Venkanna, ask Nawab to hand over the village Manchali to me. Thus succeeded in getting Manchali. It was Venkanna as per the desire of Rayaru who made all the arrangements, the Brahmin houses and including the temple of Lord Sri Venkateshwara the kulaswami of Rayaru.
Rayaru asked to prepare garbhaalaya 6x6, comfortable to sit on the bank of the sacred and asked them to dig, after digging they found plenty of ash, Rayaru said it was the ash of Yagnya performed during prahlada avatara. This is the most siddhi place, after digging further they found a stone Shivalinga Rudradevaru. Rayaru said that he has performed the pooja of Rudradevaru daily during Prahlada avatara. Rayaru felt extremely happy to see Rudradevaru, the remniscenes of janmantara simply flashed to the inward eyes of our Rayaru. Became emotional and devotional. Asked Venkanna to do the pratishthaapana in front of garbhaalaya of Rayara Brindavana and at the right side of Praanadevaru.
As per the instructions of Sri Raghavendrateertharu Diwan Venkanna completed the pratishthaapana by Sri Yogeendrateertharu, the noble successor of our Rayaru. Today parama vaishnava Shiva Rudradevaru is accepting the pooja,alankara as per the traditions of our Sri Madacharya philosophy.
Looking towards all this, we have no words to describe the nobility, gratitude and the divine power of our Mantralaya Yatiraat. So I have described to our world devotees that how kind and great is our Rayaru. A great Sri Hari bhakta Sri Hari Priya who has attained sampurna Anugraha has given a unique place to our:
