Background

Meaning

Sri Raghavendrateertharu requested, you are senior to me, the relative of my beloved guru, at least today kindly perform the pooja of Sri MoolaRamadevaru. Sri Yadavendraru agreed and performed the pooja. Sri Raghavendraru and the entire Mutt witnessed this historical scene. At that time Sri Yadavendraru handed over the divine idol of Sri Garudavaahana Sri Laxminarayanadevaru as Sri Sudheendrateertha offered him for pooja during the sanchara. Sri Yadavendrateertharu said that now he is satisfied. His life became meaningful,fruitful and Saarthaka. Only for the sake of the darshana of Rayaru and to hand over this sacred idol of his guru he had come here and nothing else. All were surprised to know the vairaagya of Sri Yadavendraru and the great personality of Rayaru. Rayaru taking the pooja idol from Ashrama Jyeshtha simply pressed the idol to his eyes with great devotion as this was worshipped by his guru Sri Sudheendrateertharu and also Ashrama Jyeshtharu for several years and became highly emotional. Still Rayaru has not come out from the deep sorrow of Sri Sudheendrateerthara Brindavana pravesha at Anegundi ­ Navavrundavana. Rayaru thought and remembered at that moment, that what an amount of persuasion his guru had put forward to accept the Tureeyashrama, when hesitant to accept. The poorvashrama life and living of Rayaru was extremely happy at that time.Weighed the pros and cons of the issues and ultimately by the Divya Darshana of Vidya Laxmi Rayaru decided to accept the ashrama the patience, affection and love of Sri Sudheendrateertharu towards Rayaru cannot be described in words. This was the Punya of   our Bharat and the punya of Acharya Madhwaru blossomed in the form of Sri Sudheendrateertharu to persuade Venkatanatha to become great Yati Sri Raghavendrateertharu , the seventeenth pontiff of our Rayara Mutt. We are fortunate enough to have:

Sri Vijayeendrateertharu
Sri Sudheendrateertharu  and

Sri Raghavendrateertharu one after the other and all have seen and availed the punya of Sri Vijayeendrateertharu. Our Bhikshaalaya  - Bichali Sri Appanacharyaru has said in Sri Raghavendra Gurustotra:

SarvaTantraSwantantrosowSriMadhwaMataVardhanaha
VijayeendraKaraabjothahaSudheendraVaraPutrakaha

All the three yatis were siddha chetanas and done the uddhaara of the devotees to the maximum extent.

After the pooja of Sri Moola Ramadevaru Sri Yadavendraru and  Sri Raghavendraru accepted the bhiksha together and the whole day both have discussed about several points pertaining to the philosophy of our Acharya Madhwaru. Then Sri Yadavendraru decided to leave the Kumbhakonam and bade good bye to Sri Raghavendraru and to all. That day all the citizens of Kumbhakonam, the pandits and the devotees were gathered there to farewell Sri Yadavendraru.

Sri Yadavendrateertharu said that first he will go to Hampi, Anegundi ­ Navavrundavana to see the Brindavana of his guru Sri Sudheendrateeertharu and afterwards he will indulge in japa and tapa on the bank of the river, this was his intention and the will and wish of Sri Hari.

Dear devotees here we know the vairaagya and the magnanimity of both the yatis. It clarifies the high caliber of  Sri Sudheendrateertharu. This is the real Yatidharma. A model to the universe that how the pontiffs should be and what an amount of  dedication and selfless they were! Our Acharya peetha has shined with such stalwarts and Vairaagya Nidhis. See the sixth pontiff Sri Jaiteertharu. Took Avatara only to compose the teekas commentaries to the works of Sri Anandateertha Yativarenyaru! Let us find light divine light on the path of progress in life by these yatiraats. All are Trikaalasmaraneeyas, let us bathe in  the sprinklers of devotion and  to become chetohaari.
