Background

The sacred busy schedule of Sri Raghavendrateertharu in Kumbhakonam, the magnanimity and the kind heart of our Mantralaya Rayaru are described in Mantralaya(243). The total of 2+4+3=9. Nine denotes Navavidha Bhakti. Rayaru has pleased Sri Hari by Navavidha Bhakti through out his life in all the avataras and distributing the abundant punya to the devotees  and showering the Blessings to the universe
 

Meaning

• remember the past
• think of future and
• be ready for today.

• remembering our past situation, status and how we have come up and where we stand.
• Always think of tomorrow, future, save for the next generation including the knowledge
• At present we must be in a very good position to tackle things in the right way with an open mind.

Our Acharya philosophy is really enriched by these pandits and even our Acharya Peetha – Vidya Mutt. With great concern and affection Rayaru took lessons in Kumbhkonam. Along with these scholars, hundreds and hundreds of students were also in the Mahapaathashaala and learnt and became the pandits. Spread the message of Acharya by the boon of Devi Sri Saraswati. It is quite interesting to know that Tanjore, Madhurai, Bhuvanagiri, Kumbhakonam were all highly blessed by the bliss of Rayaru, as these places have cherished and nourished and presented Rayaru to the world. Bhikshaalaya and Mantralaya are today the sanctums - Teerthakshetra Mantralaya and Japadakatti by Sri Raghavendraru, Punya Chetana Kaarnika  and by his beloved shishya Bichali Sri Appanacharyaru Devotees are visiting and attaining the punya and are being blessed by the mere Darshana and Seva, both in Bichali and Manchali. Rayaru’s paatha pravachana in Kumbhakonam we can say "Daana Yagnya Gnyaana Yagnya."

At this time Sri Yadavendrateertharu came to Kumbhakonam. The pooorvashrama nephew of Sri Sudheendrateertharu. After taking the sanyasa Sri Yadavendrateertharu went for sanchara for ten years, complete Bharata Darshana visited almost all the Teerthakshetras and upheld the Dwaita  - Acharya philosophy through out his sanchara and also paatha pravachana and grantha rachana. When Sri Yadavendraru came to Madhurai came to know about the Brindavana pravesha of his guru Sri Sudheendrateertharu. So came to Vidya Mutt.

Sri Raghavendrateertharu hearing the news felt extremely happy. Welcomed Sri Yadavendrateertharu affectionately as per the divine protocol with purna kumbha and Mangalavadya in a dignified way. Respected and regarded Sri Yadavendrateertharu as he was senior Ashrama Jyestha. Sri Yadavendraru’s joy knew no bonds. What an amount of respect, regard and affection Rayaru has shown towards him. Rayaru said You are senior, you are the poorvashrama  relative of my beloved guru Sri Sudheendrateertharu, so please take the entire charge of the Sri Mutt –Rayara Mutt – Vidya Mutt. I will serve under you. The paraphernalia of the Mutt were annoyed for a while to hear this. But Rayaru was never perturbed. Hearing this Sri Yadavendraru said my guru Sri Sudheendraru has rightly selected and you are the real successor. Hearing the fame and the world  popularity of  divine Sri Raghavendrateertharu  I have come here for darshana and nothing else. This Mutt is yours. The gathered sajjanas and the devotees really appreciated the airagya of Sri Yadavendrateertharu.Sri Yadavendraru further said that he had never seen so far such a great chetana full of magnanimity and affection, for all these noble qualities gurupaadaru gurugalu had made you as his successor.
