Mantralaya-242

( Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertha's noble and divine routine )

Date : Jun 25 2008

Background

Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertha's noble and divine routine resumed in the interest of the Vidya Mutt - pathashaala and the ardent devotees Uddhaarae, after the Brindavana Pravesha of Sudheendrateertharu at the sanctum of Anegundi Navavrundavana. As per the Upanishada's sentence and the 35th. shloka of  our Sri Vishnusahasranama , Rayaru the worshipper of Sri Hari are described in Mantralaya(242).

Meaning

After the Brindavana Pravesha of Sri Sudheendrateertharu Rayaru plunged in great silence not talking with anybody in the Vidya Mutt of Kumbhakonam, the devotees, the staff of the VidyaMutt, the students and the teachers of Sanskrit College: Sanskrit Maha Vidya Patha Shaala very much worried. One day Sri Ramachandracharya requested to Sri Raghavendrateertharu to look into the plans and the programmes as per the desire of Guru Sri Sudheendraru and materialise phase by phase. This is the earnest appeal of all the devotees and the shishyas of our Vidya Mutt. By hearing this Rayaru immediately remembered the promise given to his Guru Sri Sudheendrateertharu and Sri Raghavendrateertharu decided to complete all that including the  Adhyayana and  the Adhyapana  in addition to that Grantha Rachana, creative work on the works of Sri SriMadacharya and the uddhaara of the devotees are to be done by Sri MoolaRama. The devotees and the ashishyas bent with gratitude. The same thing is described very beautifully by the nephew of Rayaru Sri Narayanachar(Rayaru's poorvashrama sister Venkatamba's son) the author of Sri Raghavendra Vijaya in  the sixth sarga of the 75th shloka:

AcharyeRajamanaShrutiShikharaKalaRajyaLaksmihiSudheendre

Tapobhihi

Sri Raghavendrateertharu after the Brindavana pravesha at Anegundi on the bank of Tungabhadra of Guru Sri Sudheendrateertharu took the charge of the highest peak of Vedantha Rajya Laksmi. Our great Gururayaru is the worshipper of Sri Moola Rama, a great Scholar always growing and growing. For all these total good qualities are centered abundant in Rayaru, so Rayaru is like an ocean to all this. Such a high divine profile is our Rayaru , the pontiff of our Rayara Mutt - Vidya Mutt. We are fortunate.

Our Bichali Sri Appanacharya has said in the first line of Mangalashtaka:

SriMadRamaPadaaravindaMadhpahaSriMadhwaVamshaadhipaha

A great  devotee of Sri Hari Sri Prahlada Baahleeka Vyasarayara Avatari  Sri Guru Raghavendraru is the worshipper of Sri Moola Ramadevaru in accordance with the sentence of the  Upanishadas:

Purnamadaha Purnamidam Poornaat Purnamuduchyate Purnasya Purnamaadaaya
PurnamevavaShishyate

So our Rayaru is always at the Purna, that Purna,Sri Hari, Narayana,Krishna, Sri Moola Rama. The dearest   shishya of Sri Hari. Rayaru  acquired punya by Sri Hari is doing the welfare in a miraculous manner, but never said that he is doing. On the contrary said it is the will and wish sankalpa of Sri Moola Rama and he is performing all that. We are unable to describe the divine [polite qualities of our Yatiraat. As per the direction and affection of Sri Hari Rayaru is always showering the blessings and helping by miracles to all of us.Our Rayaru is the sole proprietor of  siddhi mantra. Sri Guru Govindavithalaru has said in one of his songs:

Mantragalodeya Badhira Mookara
Andhara Poreva

is  perfectly right.

Again in the 35th shloka of Sri Vishnusahasranaama we find:

Amrutuyhu SarvaDrukSimhahaSandhaataSandhimaanSthiraha
AjoDurmarshanahaShaasta Vishruta Atma Surarihaa

Sri Raghavendrateertha's devotion towards Sri Hari is described here through the beautiful wordings of Upanishadas and the famous  wordings  of Vishnusahasranaama. The immortal, omniscient and omnipotent Sri Hari is a very famous God to Bless and to lead us on the right path. So our Rayaru is always the worshipper of  our SriMoolaRamadevaru. As per the request of all Rayaru decided to take up the mega  projects of Sri Sudheendrateertharu. Pooja, Paatha Pravachana, grantha rachana, saayamdeeparadhana, Adhyapana and Adhyayana. A new ray of hope was delighted in the Vidya Mutt. The Vidya peetha established by Sri Vijayeendrateertharu in Kumbhakonam became more popular during the period of Sri Sudheendrateertharu and became the number one centre of learning. During the period of Sri Raghavendrateertharu, the VidyaMutts  Vidya peetha reached at its highest peak and became world famous, as the Vidyapeetha of Sri Sarvagnya Shastra i. e.Acharya philosophy Madhwa philosophy. Along with  Sri Gururayaru there were about twenty five Scholarly teachers in the Kumbhakonam Vidyapeetha - College. Starting right from Prakarana Granthas to Sri Nyayasudha of Jaiteertharu and Sri Vyasarayaru's  Chandrika, the adhyapana was conducted successfully and satisfactorily. Rayaru continuously for ten years rendered the valuable daana shaastra daana vidya daana and well trained the students in the vidyapeetha. Dear devotees, when there were twenty five teachers in the vidyapeetha, we can imagine the large number of students.

In this way Rayaru carried out the most noble work of Lokoddhaara and shined like the Meru Parvata of Punya. We are really lucky that we are living under the shelter of our yatiraat Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu. Bichali Sri Appanacharyaru completely surrendered to Rayaru and Sri Gurustotra is the living witness.
