The golden rays of the Sun in the morning are simply glittering and shining on the flow of Tungabhadra. What a beautiful sacred scene in the morning of Sarvadharinaama Samvatsara Chaitra Shukla Pratipada. To witness and live in the shelter of Punya(parisara) panorama one should have the complete Anugraha of Sri Hari Vayu Guru. Tungabhadra is flowing with force, the rhythm   of Hari Om crossing the hills and the rocks. Performed the punya Pradakshina of the holy NavaVrundavana, and from Anegundi enrouting Huligi with bhakti flowed to Bhikshaalaya Japadakatti.

The great devotee of Mantralaya Rayaru Sri Appanacharya lived and shined here in Bichali. He was Chaturveda Pandit, a great  orator, scholar, pratribhavanta( with full of creative imagination).The  sacred  fragrance of Sri Appanacharya and Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu has glorifed the nature’s gift of Bichali. Thick shade of big trees, the divine flow of Tungabhadra is pronouncing Sri Harisarvottama,Vayujeevottama and  Bichali Sri Appanacharya priya Mantralaya Gururaya protect the devotees. Japadakatte the  open university on the bank of the Tungabhadra river, the walking of Appanacharya’s  beloved shishyas, the immense joy of the devotees and the satvikas   simply flash to our inward eyes.Sri Raghavendrateertharu gave his heart to this sacred Bichali and we devotees today  feel that Rayaru would have experienced peace and satisfaction  in this Bichali which  is equal to the sacred and holy  Kumbhakonam situated on the bank of Kaveri. Rayaru lived in Bichali for thirteen years with Sri Appanacharya. That itself is a witness regarding the famous credibility of Bhikshaalaya ­ Bichali. Today is the dawn of Sarvadharinaama Samvatsara. The birds sweet song, trees express their happiness dancing  to the tune of the  wind and the cows and the calves crying Amba, Amba affectionately take us to the grandeur of 336 years back.

Today on the Japadakatte the Ek Shila Brindavana of Mantralaya Rayaru is welcoming the devotees and blessing. Daily   by Jyoti Roopa Rayara Sannidhana is at this sanctum and also at the house of Sri Appanacharya in Bichali.   Sri Kshetra Bichali is proclaiming to the world the Punya, Bhakti and Siddhi of our divine saint Rayaru. Very adjacent to Japadakatte Tungbhadra is flowing passing through the hilly rocks and stones. When we look at it we remember the day of Shraavana Bahula Bidige, the day on which Rayaru entered Sa Shareera Brindavana. Appanacharya’s grief knew no bonds, as he was away from Manchali and Bichali. Remembering his Guru started Gurustotra from this Japadakatte spontaneously.

Crossed the river Tunga bhadra, though it was in full spate. Reached Mantralaya but Appanacharya could not see the face of his beloved Guru, as the last stone of the Brindavana was already placed. After saying:

Appanacharya became silent, he could not speak out anything more owing to the grief, tears were rolling and Appanacharya was simply weeping, seeing the Brindavana, Rayaru completed the SACRED  Stotra, saying :Saakshi Hayastotrahi, at that time Rayaru was chanting Hayagreeva Mantra, some pandits opine that Sri Vayudevaru uttered this sentence from Brindavana. We are quite happy that the Sannidhana of Sri Hari, Vayu and all the Yatis are in the Mantralaya Divya Neela Brindavana. Thus the famous Guru Stotra of all the times was completed.

Dear Devotees all these incidents fill our heart on this day and we simply pray to Rayaru   that let the heart and mind always remain in Mantralaya and Bhikshaalaya ­ Bichali, where ever our body may be. A new bliss is in Mantralaya and Bichali on this New Year’s Day Ugadi SarvadharinaamaSamvatsara.Sri Rama Navaratri Celebration, Chaitra Maasa,The pooja of Sri Hari with zeal and panchanga shravana are all followed on this day of Chaandramaana Ugadi. We all pray Mantralaya Gururaya to Bless the devotees of the world.

We are fortunate enough to enjoy the holy fruits of Sri Vijayeendrateerharu ­ Sri Sudheendrateertharu and Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu and we are bent with gratitude. Devotees after taking the darshana of Rayaru in Mantralaya, they proceed to Bichali Japadakatti and take the darshana of Ek Shila Brindavana and it is a pleasure to listen the details of this sanctum by Sri Badadha Sri Ramacharya   Bichali the vamshastharu of Sri Appanacharya. The devotees spell out, say and chant:

Bichali Sri Appanacharya Priya Mantralaya

Sri Raghavendrateertha Gurubhyo Namaha.

And forget themselves in the sacred divine realm of Sri Appancharya and Sri Raghavendra Gurusarvabhoumaru are really punyavantaru on this day of Chandramaana Ugadi ­ Chaitra Shukla Pratipada  to surrender to the lotus feet of Sri Vishnu Madhava Maasa niyamaka.
