Background

The celebration of Mokshada Ekadashi in Mantralaya and the high spirituality of Sri Harisarvottama-Vayujeevottama presented by Rayaru to the devotees are described in Mantralaya(157)

Meaning

The Ekadashi of Margasheersha Pushy Shukla is famous, well known as Mokshada Ekadsahi and GEETA JAYANTI. We Satvikas say Ekadashi as HARI DINA. In Mantralaya this Mokshada Ekadashi- Geeta Jayanti is celebrated in a unique way. Continuos Bhagavad Geeta Paaraayana(Akhanda Geeta Paaraayana),lectures, discourses regarding the importance of Geeta were arranged by the Scholars under the chairmanship of Sri Mantralaya Rayaru and also under the kind and holy Guidance of Sri Sushameendrateertharu and Sri Suyateendrateertharu. We can find the ample devotees in Mantralaya in all the 365 days of day and night. Early morning, Nirmaalya Abhisheka to the Divya Brindavana of Rayaru, owing to the Ekadashi we feel happy to hear the Rayara Stotra of Bichchale Sri Appanacharya every where on the sacred bank of Tungabhadra.

A function was arranged at the right side of the Sri Matha A dias was adorned with the silver throne in the center and two high chairs. This decorum and decency spoke the sanctity of Geeta Jayanti and the regard, respect and honour to Rayaru by the devotees. Large number of devotees from all the places gathered to witness the grandeur of Mokshada Ekadashi and Geeta Jayanti.

Placed the Silver Rayara Brindavana (Utsavamurty) in the Pallakki, amidst Veda Ghosha and Naadaswaram the two elephants took the lead of the Pradakshina-Sri Sushameendrateertharu and Sri Suyateendrateertharu were simply offered Chaamara Seva to Rayaru, chanting the Gurustotra. The Students (Vatus) also joined in chorous in chanting. They were all wearing yellow dhoti and upparani. It looked as though the sunflowers were moving and laughing. Mantralaya Rayaru is too kind and a lover of knowledge. As our Sri Gurugovindavithalaru said in one of his songs: “Baarayya Baa Baa Budha Jana Gaeya……,Rayaru” witnessed and blessed. While Pallaki Pradakshina took place early in the morning, the devotees gathered in number and were eager to hold the Pallakki, in a queue. The prayers, songs, the jayakaara of Sri Harisarvottam and Vayujeevottama Shreekaara spread almost in every nook and corner of Mantralaya.

Mantralaya Rayaru protects his devotees in a miraculous manner, and always takes keen care so that nothing should happen, avoids grave accidents. For this act of kind heart ,please do not think that the devotees are surrendering Rayaru only to the materialistic life and not for spirituality. Mantralaya Santa protects his devotees from such things and encourages to do better things in life, which is universally good and noble. Mantralaya Sri Raghavendrateertharu simply helps the devotees having spiritual base. Rayaru is accessible to the devotees who have got strong faith and belief. Accepts the Seva from them. “Raghavendra Gururayara Sevisiro Neeva Soukhadi Jeevisiro, Dushtarigae Doreyadivara Seva” as our Shreedavithala has rightly said, the care,concern and protection of Rayaru is all of spiritual and guides the devotees towards Sri Harisarvottama and Vayujeevottama. The wordings of Bichchale Sri Appanacharya are quite true. GEETA JAYANTI-MOKSHADA EKADASHI my joy knew no bonds to witness the function pertaining to Geeta in Mantralaya.The devotees were quite lucky to participate on the Yard of Tungabhadra.

Here I wish to share an instance which happened in Mantralaya. A devotee of Mantralaya Rayaru always desired Mukti and came to Mantralaya prayed Rayaru that he should end his life in Mantralaya that too on the day of Ekadashi and cremation on Dwadashi. As per his request he died on Ekadashi last prahara. Within three hours cremation took place that too on Dwadashi early morning. The relatives of this devotee prayed Rayaru and asked why this has happened ? In the night Rayaru appeared in the dream and said, he asked Mukti on that particular day in Mantralaya, so this happened. The desires of the devotees should be based on a strong faith, belief, affection and regard towards Rayaru in accordance with Harisarvottama and Vayujeevottama.Mantralaya Gururaya always favours such devotees and blessing in the universe.
