Sri Malkhed Jaiteertharu the sixth Pontiff of Sri Madaachrya Peetha stayed in Yergol Cave for a long time which is in the shape of Shankha-previously it was the Aashrama of Shankhu Rishi. Wrote several Teekaas – commentary to the works of Sri Madaacharyaru , famous and popular as Teeka Rayaru in the whole world. Then Sri Vidyadhirajateertharu the seventh Yati, Kaveendra teertharu the eighth Yati, Sri Vaageeshateertharu the ninth Yati and Sri Ramachandrateertharu the tenth Yati, fully surrendered to the sanctum of Yergol- the tank – the cave which is in the shape of Shankha where Teekarayaru lived. Sri Ramachandra teertharu spent the maximum time of the day there in adhyayana , adhyaapana, japa, aahneeka. As per the request of the residents of Yergol stayed in Yergol, performing the pooja of Sri Moola Rama Devaru. Sri Narahariteertharu the third Yativarya of Sri Madaacharya Peetha as per the order of Sri Madaacharya, though Yati, took the charge of the administration of Jagannath Puri (Orissa) as the prince was too young. Ruled the kingdom till the prince became major and handed over the charge of the administration. The prince was highly pleased towards Sri NarahariTeertharu.
The prince forced Sri Narahari Teertharu to accept something as a token of his love and bhakti. Then the Yati asked to hand over the Idols (Pratimas) of Sri Moola Rama Devaru and Sita which were in the treasury (Raja Bhandaar) of JagannathaPuri. The prince gladly offered with devotion and took the blessings of Sri Narahariteertharu .Sri Narahari teertharu then handed over the idols to Sri Madaacharyaru.
Sri Madhwacharyaru worshipped the idols of Sri Moola Rama Devaru and Sita which were earlier worshipped by Brahma Devaru (Sri Brahma Karaarchita Moola Rama Devaru). Since Sri Madhwaacharya worshipped Brahma Karaarchita Sri Moola Rama Devaru for a long time , became Sri Madhwa Karaarchita.
After Sri Madhwaacharya
