Background
The importance of the day of Yugadi and
Sri Appanacharya's :

Meaning
Chaitra Shukla Pratipada we celebrate
as the NEW YEAR DAY. The beginning of the year of the Shaalivaahana Shaka.
On this day we get up early, take bath,with all sanctity perform
Pooja,Naivedya, Swami Sankeertana .I welcome this YUGADI offering my regards
with devotion to Mantralaya Mandira Sri Raghavendra Gurusarvabhoumaru
in compliance to Sri Harisarvottama and Vayujeevottama.Yuga means year
- Adi means first. Yugadi means the first day of the NEW YEAR. Whatever
things we do and practice on this day the same will be continued through
out the year in our life, we believe. Actually early morning they come
out of their houses and try to have a look of Ratna Pakshi that is. Shakuna
bird - Adrashta bird. After this they go the temples.
Panchanga Pooja - Panchanga
Shravana is the main attraction of this Yugadi. All are eager to know about
the future. I give a call to the devotees , please come out to the yard
of the universe : Here Tirumale Swami,Malkhed Jaiteertharu and Mantralaya
Rayaru are blessing. Our Dasas have asked us to do the Mantralaya Yatra
first, and all the Yatra Punya will be acquired, when we perform the Rayara
Seva. Sri Hari is highly pleased with Mantralaya Rayaru. By
the divine power of Sri HariBhakti Rayaru is protecting, providing the
welfare to all of us.
The Eastern side of the sky is presenting
the dawn of the New Samvatsara - Vyayanaama Samvatsara. Welcome
the new SUNRISE. The Chaitra Chetana,Vasantha is quite soothing and
encouraging to the life. As per the Manu Dharma love our dears and nears
in our life. Parents affection and Life Partner's love and enjoyment. The
Lord Swami has
graciously given all this! Always
remember Sri Hari, Sri Madacharya and our Mantralaya Rayaru have
geared up our life for the goodness. This is my slogan on this day of Yugadi.
There is a tradition to have the mixture
of Margosa (Neem) flowers and Jaggery on this Yugadi Day. This is only
a symbol of good and bad. There is no exaggeration to say that Mantralaya
devotees will always get the good things in life by the blessings of Mantralaya
Gururayaru. Rayaru a great saint-santa on the bank of the sacred
Tungabhadra river, very dear to Bichchaale Appanacharya.
