BackgroundThe teachings of Krishna, the TulaBhara miracle of Sri SushameendraTeertharu is described in Mantralaya (1071).
Mantralaya(1070), we witnessed Lord Krishna's profound teachings,
emphasizing that only love and devotion can triumph. This lesson
unfolded through the Tula Bhara incident. Additionally, we observed how
Mantralaya Rayaru Mutt is actively embodying Krishna's teachings by
placing paramount importance on love and devotion to the Lord and
Rayaru. The Mutt serves as a shining example of treating all devotees
with equal respect and care.
In this article, I aim to elucidate the Tula Bhara incident that transpired during the tenure of Sri SushameendraTeertharu.
Raghavendra Swamiji stands as the "Kamadhenu-Kalpavruksha" in Kaliyuga
for a multitude of devotees seeking divine refuge. Rayaru liberates
them from sins and fulfills their wishes. It can unequivocally be
stated that only individuals with divine virtues and those blessed by
Divinity can occupy the seat adorned by such a monumental saint
throughout history. The highly revered Sri Sushameendratheertha belongs
to this esteemed lineage. Sushameendratheertha was known as
Suprajnendracharya, originating from the sacred lineage of Sri Gururaja
of the 'Beegamudre' family of Gouthama Gothra in Shashtika Kula,
renowned for their accomplishments in the realm of learning.
Sushameendratheertha embodies the essence of a divinely ascetic soul.
Swamiji's innocence and warmth can be likened to that of a child and
the vastness of the sea. These exceptional qualities converge into a
smile on his spiritually radiant face, providing devotees who kneel
before him with nothing but the assurance of divine grace. Perhaps due
to his piety and extraordinary humility, Swamiji has become most
beloved to Sri Rayaru. Therefore, through Swamiji, that great saint
performs miracles and undertakes noble deeds for the prosperity and
welfare of humankind
One day, a humble devotee, extended the
heartfelt invitation to the revered Swamiji Sri SushameendraTeertharu
for a TulaBhara ceremony. With a benevolent smile, Sri
SushameendraTeertharu accepted the invitation, sensing that this event
would unfold as a beautiful chapter in the tapestry of divine

commenced as Sri SushameendraTeertharu gracefully took his place on one
side of the ornate balance. Alongside him rested the sacred books of
Sri Rayaru, containing the timeless wisdom and teachings of Lord
Krishna and MadhwaCharyaru that had guided countless souls on their
spiritual journeys. Nestled in a small box was Rayaru's Brindavana, a
sacred divine presence.
The Devotee, eager to start TulaBhara,
began placing currency coins one by one on the opposite side of the
balance. With each coin, hoping that the offering exceeded the
anticipated weight of Sri SushameendraTeertharu. To the amazement of
the gathered devotees, the balance remained unmoved, as if enchanted by
an invisible force.
A hushed silence fell over the crowd, and
the devotee, now bewildered, sought solace in the gaze of Sri
SushameendraTeertharu. The compassionate Swamiji, with eyes that held
the depth of ancient wisdom, observed the devotee's perplexed
expression. In that moment of profound connection, Sri
SushameendraTeertharu decided to unfold a divine lesson.
gentle nod, Sri SushameendraTeertharu directed his disciples to chant
the sacred mantra, "Om Sri Raghavendraya Namaha" and to place their
hands on the other side of the balance. The disciples began chanting
"Om Sri Raghavendraya Namaha" with devotion, their voices weaving a
tapestry of divine vibrations. The devotee, now humbled and guided by
the grace of Sri SushameendraTeertharu, joined in the celestial chorus.
the melodious chants resonated through the sacred space, a miraculous
transformation unfolded. The balance, once resistant, yielded to the
power of devotion, lifting Sri SushameendraTeertharu gracefully. The
atmosphere echoed with joyous exclamations, and the devotee, now
overwhelmed with gratitude, witnessed the divine intervention that had
transpired before his eyes.
Later, in a moment of reflection,
Sri SushameendraTeertharu elucidated the profound lesson. Swamiji
revealed that the true essence of the TulaBhara lay not merely in the
material weight of the coins but in the immeasurable weight of genuine
love and devotion towards Sri Rayaru. The sacred books of Sri
RaghavendraTeertharu and the Brindavana represented the spiritual
connection that transcended the physical realm, illustrating the
timeless truth that pure love alone could balance the scales of
